  1. I.hv.yang thank you for the reply. My SCCMcontentlib folder is on my D: drive only. Also, you are correct, deleting packages has had no affect on reducing storage. Currently my D: drive is fibered to our storage so I can expand, but I would rather manage the space being used to minimize growth.
  2. Thanks for the link it was an excellent read. But, I didn't see a way to resolve the space issue, my apologies if I overlooked it. Is there a way to reduce the size of the FileLib directory?
  3. In regards to using the Windows Firewall Policies, I don't recall seeing a firewall setting in the client settings to enable/disable. If you don't create a firewall policy for a collection what is the default? My guess is whatever you domain GPO policy is?
  4. Pretty surprised there has been no response. Another newb question I have is what is the final step in the migration process? Is it updating the shared distribution point? Does upgrading it upgrade and move all contents to the 2012 DP location? Is there any post migration checks I need to do before shutting down my old physical server? Thanks the site and forum, they are a huge help!
  5. Question for the slow kid please. I just want to confirm if possible that the 2007 DP holding all my packages, etc. will house all the migrated objects and collection data until the 2007 DP is upgraded at which time my 2012 DP will become primary. (As stated here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/4f4c9d45-37af-4540-b6c0-3f48ae55ae61#About_Shared_DPs_in_Migration ) The reason for my concern is my 2007 DP storage space is slowly dwindling as I migrate and my 2012 storage hasn't moved.
  6. UPDATE: A Microsoft case was opened for this issue after trying many different avenues found online (see last post on this thread). After having Microsoft SCCM and SQL teams review settings, configs and installations, current environment and system logs. They were unable to resolve my issue, they say they've never experienced this issue before (I'm skeptical). Because this was for PROD time was critical so it was faster for me to re-format everything and rebuild. Instead of using the 2012 OS and SQL, I took a step back and used 2008 R2 SP1 OS and 2008 R2 SP2 CU6 - working like a charm now.
  7. Thanks for the reply GarthMJ. When I run the CU7 install SQLServer2012-KB282347-x64 the install options are grayed out. The other CU7 installs ran fine, DACFramework.msi and SapBl.msi.
  8. Running into a similar problem when trying to add a Reporting services point. SCCM 2012 SP1, SQL 2012 CU7 (have also tried CU2-CU6). One physical server used as a stand-alone Primary site. Report instance is blank - here is what I've tried. SRS info - running as local system IP address - All assigned 80 No SSL database running with domain admin creds * Uninstalling and re installing SRS 2012 * Installing as a separate instance * Uninstalling and re installing SQL 2012 * HKLM>software>microsoft>microsoft sql server>instance names>rs>shows current reportingservices instance * Tried renaming SRS virtual directory and renaming them back
  9. UPDATED RESOLUTION Inventory is running again. Resolution was not a pleasant one but it did resolve my issues. First, a re-installation of BITS and finally remove and re add site system role Management point. Thanks to all who read and commented on this issue.
  10. Thanks GarthMJ. I had to double take switching between tabs in my browser, you posted on both sites, THANKS!
  11. UPDATE: Recovered SQL db logins - MP/BITS still having issues. 12. Having an issue with my single primary site/Management point, case is currently opened with Microsoft. It starts like this... Recently I noticed clients have not been reporting in to the site. This include hardware, software inventories, etc. BITS crashed my console and threw errors, the documented fix was to uninstall BITS, reboot and re-install on the server- done. Then noticed ALL SQL logins have been removed with the exception of a SMSremoteusers read only account!! Microsoft suggested re installing db. - done. A side note is we have a SCCM 2012 VM Test environment - segregated from our production environment by VLAN and ACOLS. Test environment has own DC, etc. But I don't see any type of interference. Hope someone can help! 13. On my Windows 7 32 bit workstation I am able to access the Software Center window. However, when I try to access the "Find additional applications from the Application Catalog" It opens in a new window and provides the following error message. Cannot connect to the application server. The website cannot communicate with the server. This might be a temporary problem. Try again later to see if the problem has been corrected. If this problem continues, contact your help desk. Any ideas on what I may have misconfigured? Thanks in advance for any help that is provided.
