  1. All up to date now. Thanks! I am a little confused though about the SUP and products for windows 10. I am not sure what products to select. We will only be using windows 10 1709 and up, with only 1 language. Do I need to select more or deselect some? thanks,

  4. I tried to check some reports today for the first time. I found out that it wasnt working, when i try to open a report it says: "The data source 'lots of numbers and letters' cannot be found". Also at system status-site status the reporting services point says Critical. When I go to the URL I see all the folder but when i click there on a report the same message appears: "The data source 'lots of numbers and letters' cannot be found". How can fix this? These are the details: Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportServerException The data source 'e7376ae6-d67d-47e9-9038-cc4b0524ab30' cannot be found. 5. After I deployed windows 8.1 I always have exclamation marks at usb-controllers in Universal Serial Bus-controllers. The drivers are present on the machine. If I click on update driver, search my computer and then choose drivers from a list from my computer and choose the driver there it installs and works. But I assume this is something i shouldnt have to do. Is there something in the TS that i should do?
  6. Hi, Is there any way to create a custom TS to only apply a driver package? When I tried this I got an error saying that the step must be running in WinPE. But the systems already have a running OS. Thanks
  7. I am trying to get updates installed on my clients. In the windowsupdate.log I find this rule: "2014-08-14 11:56:16:796 900 b0 Agent Reporting status event with 102 installable, 2 installed, 0 installed pending, 0 failed and 0 downloaded updates" But no updates are actually getting installed. What are the available logs to check for errors?
  8. So I have succesfully deployed googlechromestandaloneenterprise.msi to 1 of my device collections. I deployed it as required. Now I want to uninstall it, but I get a little stuck on this. I created the application with automatically detect information, but I am starting to think that that is where I went wrong.
  9. 192.168.1.* is my primary site, site server and first DP 192.168.25.* is my second site system, DP 192.168.30.* is my third site system, DP For testing purposes I have deleted all my boundries and boundry groups. I created 1 new Boundry group: At references content location I chose the distribution point that resides inside the 192.168.1.* range I created 1 new boundry: Type IP address range 192.168.1.20-192.168.1.250, add boundry groups I chose the just created groups. When I boot a client that resides inside my boundry it still goes to my second DP instead of the first (the one it should be choosing) What am I not doing right with boundries. (I also think these question should not be in this post, srry for that)
  10. I have currently 3 distributions points. I want to know how I can make sure clients connect to the correct distribution point. The way it is now that 2 out of 3 distribution points are randomly chosen.
  11. Bump on the question about what the "apply data image" does in a captured image. Do I need it or should I always remove that from my tasksequence?
  12. I cant check that anymore since i have messed up the client.. But I now have removed Apply Data image from my task sequence, and now its a few steps further during the osd. When I create a task sequence with my captured .wim file I get apply operating system and apply data image. I also tried with install.wim from the dvd. When I create a task sequence with the install.wim there is no apply data image at all.. EDIT: the OSD is now finished and windows 8.1 is installed. What does the apply data image do or not do.. Apperently I dont need it? So why does it appear in my task sequence?
  13. My OSD of windows 8.1 failed. But I can't seem to find out why. I have copied the smsts.log from the client after partitioning and copying files from X:\smstslog\smsts.log. Only thing that has an other colour (Yellow) in the log is "Client agent branding title is empty. Ignoring. TSPxe 5-3-2014 15:55:00 1248 (0x04E0)" Further I can't see any errors. smsts.log
  14. Hello, I am trying to deploy a captured image. It all seems to work well, content is getting downloaded properly. Formatting the drive also seems to be going good. But when the image is getting applied to C:\ at 20% I am getting error code 0x80070070. While searching on google i found that it is an indicator of to low on free space. But the image is 6GB and it is a harddrive of 80GB. I am stuck at this point.
  15. Ah thanks for putting me on the right track... I was way off
  16. I have installed a unknown computer with a task sequence that included 1 application. Unfortunatly the application was not installed when imaging was done. After that I could start the same sequence again through software center, if i do that and that is finished the application is installed. Why isnt it installed the first time?
  17. Could anyone point me in the right direction on this?
  18. Is there a guide for creating a new boot image with winpe 3.0? Or can I just uninstall the current waik and install 3.0 and create new boot image?
  19. Hello, I have troubles sending an image to a clients. I have captured an image without any problems, created and deployed a task sequence. Inserted the correct LAN driver in the boot image and updated the DP. Now I have 2 systems. A Dell Optiplex 360 and a Dell Optiplex 380. The image is being send correctly to the 360’s. But with the 380’s the pc reboots after preparing network connections in winpe. I don’t understand why this is happening. I tried to find the log files on the 380 but I can’t find them.
  20. And I am setting up SQL 2008 now, but what account should I use on Service Accounts? Do I use SMSadmin there or a domain admin. I am used to use a domain admin account there. And also the SMSadmin account on Database engine config, analysis services config, reporting serv conf and error and usage reporting?
  21. Hello, I've read the first part and I am glad I got here. Its a nice tutorial to follow. I havent started yet, but I have a question before I start. I see you create accounts in AD, what I am concerned about is the DomJoin user. It says it is only a member of Domain Users, and you want to use it to join computers to the domain. But isnt it so that Domain Users can only add 10 pc's to the domain?
