  1. Good Morning! I am in need of some assistance. I have a build and capture task that works fine, with one exception. It creates the windows drive as the D:, which is an annoyance. From what I've read it has something to do with the default install.wim. So I am attempting to build my own reference machine (that parts done) and use SCCM2012sp1 to capture. I have disjoined the domain and setup a capture task sequence, however it just keeps failing out. No logs have been generated as far as I can tell (SMSTS.log is not present on the reference machine). Please let me know what information you will need from me and I will provide it. I have attached a screen grab of my task sequence to start it off.
  2. Hi, I'm QUITE new to this set of tools, my company just purchased SC2012 and I've been going through your EXTREMELY HELPFUL blog posts. Thank you by the way! I have a problem, I was reading this particular article, and I was under the impression that "Capture Win7" meant that I would build a win 7 to my companies spec's and then run this task and it would CAPTURE the image for me to deploy to other systems. However, when I ran through this, it wiped out and created a new image on the (freshly built) VM i set up to company specs.. So my question is: How do I use SC2012 to grab my image for future deployments? (or have I just not read far enough along your blog posts?)
