Just started having an issue when attempting to PXE into configmgr console for OSD. My machines will pxe to server, load boot image, load WinPE, prepare windows, load nic adapter, hang at 2012 SCCM splash scrren for about 20 seconds, then reboot. Would anybody happen to have a resolution to this issues we are seeing? I have redistibuted/updated distribution points in terms of content including boot images. This just started since i've moved and isolated this pxe service point to a new vlan. Thanks

Does anybody know of a way I can remove all of the default apps that are preinstalled on the Win8.1 build via task sequence? The last thing i need before this load is production ready is to remove the default apps such as Food & Drink, Skyoe, etc... Thank you

Has anybody been successuflly able to boot into ConfigMgr via pxe boot on a HP DL380p? Keeps failing at "Apply network connection" Once it reaches that point, it reboots. I've downloaded all the nic drivers from HP's website and injected them into my boot image, but have had no success. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. OSD works with all of our desktops/laptops so it leads me to believe this error has to do with nic drivers? Thank you

Thank you for the idea. I will research the HTA option and hopefully come to a solution very soon.

Does anybody know if I can, and if I can, how to prompt for username/password upon pxe booting to ensure only specified user groups have access to pxe? Running SCCM 2012 and would like to control list of users that can execute the pxe process while checking against their AD permissions.

OSD Task Sequence Failing PLEASE HELP
drewz99 replied to drewz99's question in Deploying Operating Systems
It looks like next to "Apply Operating System" the Destination is set to NExt Available formatted partition. I've gotten it to join the domain, but now it is getting stuck when installing an Application and the "Setup Windows and Config" Yes, Windows 8.1 with Bitlocker. Thank you for your assistance...- 3 replies

We are continously experiencing the same failure towards the end of our OS deployment, but we are unable to determine what is causing it? I have attached a copy of the smsts log for review. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Learing still and find this site to be an excellent tool with great people that love to help. It's great! smsts.log

WDS on the same server. When we go to PXE boot, it goes right into WDS rather than picking up the deployed task sequence. How can i "turn off" the wds service so the task sequence will run?

I am attempting to deploy a task sequence containing an OS image we recently captured via SCCM Capture Image task. The issue is, we are unable to PXE boot into the sequence. WDS keeps taking over the process. This is a manually entered bare bones VM with no OS currently installed on it. Any help getting past this PXE issue would be greatly appreciated. Oh, we do have PXE enabled, allow all requests enabled, and all content of boot images pxe enabled and distributed amongst other DP's.

Failed to receive buffer from server with err=0x80090304. Failed to receive expected response from server with error 80090304

I was wondering if anybody had any potential solutions to an issue that came up yesterday. Prior to yesterday, our WSUS server and SCCM server were synced and operating properly. As of today, we are getting a WSUS sync error reading: compnent SMS_WSUS_MANAGER on coputer (server) reported: WSUS Synchronization failed. Message: Could not load file or assembly or one of its dependencies. Strong name validation failed (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8013141A) Source: wsyncact. The operating system reported error 2148722978: Any ideas...

Role/Scope Creation for specific user
drewz99 replied to drewz99's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
I was going to attempt that, but I was not sure if that would work? I'll let you the outcome. Thank you for your reply. -
I have been asked to grant one of our admins permissions to view available updates with Configuration Manager, and approve them to only his machine. What would the best way to accomplish this be?
