Hello all, Ever since I've upgraded our environment to 2012 R2 SP1 (5.0.8239.1000), my admin console has been acting goofy when I pull up collections, apps/packages, driver packages...etc. Anything with user created folders. I have folders under "Device Collections" to make things more organized. Apps/Packages, Driver Packages...etc follow suit. Basically, no matter what folder I click, I get the full list of collections as if I was clicking "Device Collections". Not just the ones that are under that particular folder. Same result in other areas. If I click back and forth enough, I'll eventually get the correct list for that particular folder. The only troubleshooting I've done was uninstall/reinstall the console on my workstation. I've browsed the forum and did some searches online, but I haven't seen any reports of it being a known issue. Anyone else experiencing this same "glitch"? Thanks!

I hope I am asking this question in the right forum... I discovered a server that was setup as a secondary site server in a test environment we had. That test environment was completely wiped out and rebuilt LIVE under a new one, with a different name. The secondary site server was never removed through SCCM or the server directly before the test environment was blown away. Like a big dummy, I removed all instances of SQL first on that server. THEN, I noticed there was an uninstall in Programs and Features for the Secondary Site Setup. I went to uninstall the Secondary Site Setup on the server......I see SETUP.EXE in the task list and the ConfigMgrSetup.log file displays the following.... *** [08001][-1][Microsoft] A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. For more information see SQL Server Books Online. Configuration Manager Setup 12/29/2014 2:51:07 PM 5484 (0x156C) *** Failed to connect to the SQL Server, connection type: XXX.XXX.COM CONFIGMGRSEC\CM_206. Configuration Manager Setup 12/29/2014 2:51:10 PM 5484 (0x156C) Those lines repeat a bunch of times, but it does appear to be removing stuff, like services and such. I understand it's trying to connect to SQL and/or the site. Is there ANY way to get this removed completely AFTER basically uninstalling it the wrong way? Maybe just by manually removing the "Microsoft Configuration Manager" and "SMS_CCM" folders in Program Files? I wonder about registry keys and such though too.... I'd appreciate any assistance

I've had good success with injecting the WIM file with updates. However, there are some updates that just will not install, even if they are part of the WIM file. Basically, I image a PC through task sequence. It uses the "injected" WIM. After I log into the PC and "check for updates" to see if I've missed any updates, it lists some that still need to be installed. I checked my WIM, and they are listed under "Update Status". I'm not sure why they're not installing. Haven't really figured out why unless they are simply failing. Anyone have some insight?
