WDS on Server 2012 R2 is virtually identical to 2008 R2. The main difference is you don't have to have a domain to use it. I know there's other improvements mainly geared towards Windows 8 and UEFI, but I haven't dabbled in that department. MDOP is straightforward. Install it, create your DaRT image. I don't have experience with MDT. If you can provide more details on where you need help I'm sure we can provide more assistance.

I'm trying to setup several Windows 7 images for deployment with WDS, but keep running an issue with Internet Explorer 9 or 10 (possibly 11, but I don't allow that). Every time I open Internet Explorer after deploying an image, the Meet your new Internet Explorer page appears. I found a registry file I can import that disables it, but why does this keep happening? Has anyone else experienced this? I've tested the images in virtual machines before capturing them to the WDS server and they work fine. Google has not been helpful for this one.
