Hello, i use right click on a server (in a collection) > start > Remote Desktop Client , in sccm2007 to connect my servers. can i enable the /Admin (i mean mstsc.exe /admin) command in this RDC ? i check in the Remote Tools client agent, there is no option about that.. is it possible ? Ok Niall, it make sens, it was that i thought So, it will be useful anyways, because, actually, i want to deploy Server 2008 R2 SP1, SP1 have a new LP SP1...and Server 2008R2 is not slipstream with sp1 yet.. so i have to install SP1 in my TS (this online after setup windows configuring task), so install LP after SP1, so online ! Hello, it's not the first time i got this, but after OSD of a new Unknow Computer (from PXE), if i refresh "All systems" collection i have my computer deployed, 2 times, one say client is installed, and the same computer with no clients installed. as you can see here : screenshot of duplicate computer do yo uknow why ? it's a Windows7 x64 deployed, and curiously, computer is on "All Systems" collections, but not in my "All Windows 7 Collections" (with the good Query i found here). I still didnt put any Key on the system and is not actived (i generally do it after deployement and not during TS)..but i don't know if it can be affect colletion query in sccm2007 , maybe not at all.. what do you think ? Hello, i was wondering, if i neet to configuring a GPO for WSUS clients ? I mean the GPO for connect to the WSUS : to point the client computers to the WSUS server (in Administrative template) 1. In the Windows Update details pane, double-click Specify intranet Microsoft update service location. 2. Click Enabled, and type the HTTP URL of the same WSUS server in the Set the intranet update service for detecting updates box and in the Set the intranet statistics server box. For example, type http://servername in both boxes, and then click OK. Or maybe the Configuration manager clients will do it without GPO ? but if my clients have internet access and automatic update enable, i don't want that they download automatically updatefrom windows update... do i need to specify WSUS server in a gpo ? Hello Eswar, Well, it's the first thing i did indeed, but it doesnt work.. since you can Configure pxe server delay reponse in WDS AND SCCM2007 service point, looks they have separate configuration. there is a tips to move order between wds and sms service point If you open regedit and browse to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\WDSServer\Providers\WDSPXE there is a "ProvidersOrder" key with some values in it. These values represent the boot order of WDS. Anyways if i change options in WDS it dosent impact my SMS PXE point i still need to confirme with F12... i will try to change delay maybe..(shorter in wds than sccm2007)

Hello everybody, I'm looking for a tips to disabled F12 confirmation after tiping the First time F12 at boot, to boot on PXE Point, SCCM find PXE server and ask for F12 confirmation to boot over the network. Well i know it's a good security, but during testing TS deployment, i will like to disabled this confirmation to save some time, and allow after first F12 tiping to boot on PXE, that boot automatically on PXE service point without confirmation. it's weird, because, when a i deploy using image capture (and using the install.wim from source) i can chose, standard, enterprise or datacenter editions in my TS and deployment works well. but if i'm using an OS deployment Package (source DVD) and i select other editons than the "standard" one, i got TS error when it start to install the OS (an unknow error., i looked the log..). It works only with standard, if i select enterprise or data center it failed ! it looks like a bug.. i have this probleme with 2008 R2...maybe others people got this trouble ? or only me ? Regards,

yes it works for an SCCM2007 TS, but for an MDT TS, the unattended.xml used is the MDT one (in the MDT config filespackage)...so if i replace the MDT one by the local one, i guess TS failed.. EDIT : sorry i see i was in the wrong topic

Hello everybody , i'm experiencing a strange trouble about deploying a RETAIL .wim of Windows Server 2008 R2 (i mean the .win on sources Retail DVD, not a captured image). Indeed i just want to do a standard server task sequence (not an MDT one) via SCCM 2007 R3, and after deploying OS, my System is installed on D:/ and not C:/ as usual Only one partition, the bootable one + SYstem. I don't understand why my system is installed on D:/ and not C:/ since it's the only one partition available.. I tried to create 2 partition in my task sequence the bootable one , and the other for the system..i got same probleme. I tried to use Varialble to force to install on C:/ ...Same probleme.. well i must miss something, i don't got this trouble with other OS deployment .. Well, i would like to have The First partition bootable (with boot.mgr) hidden with no letter and My IOS (WS2008R2) on C:/ ... this is the best way. do you have the tips to do it with WS2008R2 ? yes of course for the MDT, if i create an MDT TS i use tooolkit package. but here i use a standard task seuquence create with SCCM 2007 (R3), and i add "Software offline update" and i browse on my Package 'All Windows 7 Update" i created in my SUS, as you can see in the screenshots in my prvious reply. So i get this Unknow errors about Failed to install software update as you can see.. i don't know why :-/ looks some post before mine, ia2s , did it (as we can see in his screenshot n°3), i would like to know if it works for him or not Regards,

error is in my smslog i posted just 2 post before..check it i create a stand task sequence (not an MDT here, but i did an MDT it's same, same error), and i did ADD > Software offline update, and i browse on my update package i ceated before..
