  1. Hi, My Hyper-V Cluster with 3 Nodes is managed by SCVMM. Two cluster shared volumes are available for the deployment. When I want to deploy a machine to the cluster shared volume2 following error appears: 'TemplateTest': Cannot open attachment 'C:\ClusterStorage\Volume3\TemplateTest\Server 2003 R2 Enterprise 64Bit NOT SYSPREP_disk_1.vhd'. Error: 'The requested operation could not be completed due to a virtual disk system limitation. Virtual disks are only supported on NTFS volumes and must be both uncompressed and unencrypted.' (0xC03A001A). (Virtual machine ID 88534423-1B24-43E6-AB6A-AA6B76871447) It seems that the volume ist "compressd" but in the properties of the volume compression is unchecked (on all three nodes). New virtual machines are marked blue. See attachment
  2. Hi, I'm using two Hyper-V Failover Clusters with 7 hardware machines. The virtual machines (60) on the hosts are stored in a SAN. Everyone knows that checkpoints/snapshots are using a great amount of diskspace. Is it possible to store the checkpoints of the virtual machines (SCVMM) on a different device, for example an external harddrive. Is it possible to outsource the checkpoint anyway?
  3. Hi, I have successfully deployed Windows 7 and software. Now I want to make virtual apps but I don't have a clue how to do that. I have installed SCCM 2007 R2 and virtual app streaming is enabled. What do I have to do next? When I want to create a "New Virtual Application Package" the wizard needs "a manifest XML file". Where can I get this file? Do I have to install anything else on the clien or on the SCCM Server? Thank you for your help!
  4. Thank You very much!!! I have succesfully deployed Windows 7
  5. Thank you for your reply. Where can i look up if the package is on my harddrive? SCCM says that every package is "installed". I have attached a screenshot of the packages in SCCM. Edit: You are rigth i haven't added the NAA...the NAA must be the network administrator account right ?
  6. Hi, I'am new in this forum and it is the first time that i have worked with SCCM. I have 3 virtual machines. The first one is the domaincontroller with DHCP and DNS Server. The second one is the SCCM Server with SCCM 2007 R2 and SQL Server. The third machine is the client and I want to deploy Windows 7. When I start the client Windows Pe is loaded via PXE boot. After Windows Pe is loaded it shows the SCCM screen with a window which says "Windows is starting up...". The Harddrive loads a few time and the window disappears -> nothing happens. Ipconfig shows the following information: IPv4 Address: 192.168.0.15(Preferred) DHCP enabled: Yes Subent Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: nothing DHCP Server: 192.168.0.2 DNS Servers: 127.0.0.1; 192.168.0.2 I have attached my smsts.log file. Thank you for your help! smsts.log
  7. Hello, I have serious problems with SCCM SP2. After booting Windows PE my system always restarts. In SCCM all packages are installed. The LOG says "Failed to connect to "\\Site Name\SMSPKGC$\KIE00002" (67)". I'm using a Hyper-V Lab environment and I want to deploy Windows 7. Log files attached! smsts.log wpeinit.log
