  1. Hello Skoal, Sorry for the late response, yes this happened after we upgraded to 1511. I haven't had a chance lately to dig into it, but if you have found a resolution I would love to hear it. Thank you, Erik
  2. Hello everyone, I have ran into an issue after upgrading to the 1511 version of SCCM 2012. We currently have 22 secondary sites and one primary site in our SCCM setup. Recently we had one of the secondary sites link state failed. I ran Replication Link Analyzer and got the below message which is weird because it's saying that the SQL Server Broker Login is missing for all the sites that are showing up and running except for the one that is currently in a failed state. (See attached SQLBrokerError.png) I tried to run the Recreate SQL Server Broker Login but of course that doesn't seem to be working. So I guess what i'm asking for is does anyone have any ideals on how to help me fix the broken replication for the one secondary site and how can I recreate the SQL Server Broker login? Thank you, Erik
  3. Hello, We just upgraded our SCVMM to 2012 and for the Refresh Performance Data we keep getting the below errors on our servers. As of now they are Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-Visors. Trying to see if anyone else had this issue and how they fixed it. Error (2916) VMM is unable to complete the request. The connection to the agent stlcorphvisor5.corp.dir.spartech.com was lost. Ensure that VMM server is able to communicate with stlcorphvisor5.corp.dir.spartech.com over WinRM by successfully running the following command: winrm id –r:stlcorphvisor5.corp.dir.spartech.com This problem can also be caused by a Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service crash. If the server is running Windows Server 2008 R2, ensure that KB 982293 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982293) is installed on it. If the error persists, restart stlcorphvisor5.corp.dir.spartech.com and then try the operation again. /nRefer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2742275 for more details. As always thanks for the help Erik
  4. Hello everyone, I just started to push out Windows updates using SCCM 2007/WSUS. I have been doing the push a few sites at a time just to get use to it but, I've noticed that I have a lot of them reporting Enforcement state unknown . I was just wondering what is the best way to fix this? Any suggestions, I can get some logs if someone needs them. Thank you, Erik
  5. Is there a way I can make it to where Office 2010 does not run silently in the background?
  6. Peter, We are using SCCM 2007 still. How would do the script wrapper and User context? And is there a certain way the .msp file would need to be setup?
  7. Now I've only created OS images with Task Sequences, which we either deploy via PXE or USB boot to our manufacturer. I didn't know that you could just deploy software to a computer using a Task Sequence. So would I just create the Task Sequence for Outlook 2010, then when I advertise it to the collection would it show up in the control panel under Run Advertised Programs and they would be able to click on it and start the Task Sequence or would it have to start up on boot up? Sorry for all the questions.
  8. I can get it to work fine running silently. But my Boss want them to see the progress bar, while it's installing. I've looked everywhere and everyone who sets it up sets it up to run silent. If anyone has any suggestions or knows how to do it please let me know. He wants this ASAP.
  9. Need to deploy Outlook 2010 only, but let the user be able to start the install and see the progress bar. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for this one.
  10. Hello, Just wondering if anyone had an other suggestions to my issue: "look for the loadstate.log file in this location, it's listed clearly in your smsts-.... log file (did you look at the contents of that log file?) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\CCM\Logs\SMSTSLog\loadstate.log post that loadstate.log file here and we'll help you." When I go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\CCM\Logs there is not another folder called SMSTSLog. I even ran a search on the entire C: drive for loadstate.log and it didn't find it. Just incase i messed up on the Task Sequence I have attached a copy of it. Attached Files offlineUSMT.xml 45.64K 0 downloads

  12. Peter i don't see the loadstate.log file. Attached are the two SMSTS logs smsts.log smsts-20120727-151322.log
  13. Thank you Peter that got me past that part. Now it goes all the way through the Task Sequence but it fails on the restore part and doesn't give me enough time before it restarts the computer to see what the error is? I can still see the USMToffline folder on the C:\ any thoughts?
  14. Hello guys, I am trying to do the XP to W7 Offline and I'm running into some issues. First I am trying to go from Windows XP x86 to Windows 7 x64. It goes through Set, Create, xcopy groups just fine, but fails on the Run scanstate part. I have attached the Task Sequences, scanstate log and the bat file in txt form that I am using. Any help would be great on this. Thanks you in advanced you guys have helped me with a lot. offlineUSMT.xml scanstate.log runscanstate-offlinewindirx64.txt
  15. I'm sorry, what I meant was is there a high client version then 4.00.6487.2000. If so how do you upgrade to it?
  16. Hello, I was wondering how can you updgrade the version of SCCM. As of now our version is 4.00.6487.2000 We have R3 installed Build number: 6487
  17. Thank you guys very much for your answers. I think we got one of the secondary sites setup. Now my next question is we were having trouble with SCCM pushing out the client to some computers. So we saw that you could push out the SCCM client uses WSUS. I've been looking it up and it looks like you need to use GPO with it? Is that the only way and if so from the website below, would we have to setup a policy for each secondary site? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb633194.aspx Thanks again in advance.
  18. Hello everyone, We are trying to intergrate WSUS with SCCM. We currently have one primary site and 33 secondary sites. We currently have WSUS setup on the primary server but we were wondering for bandwidth reason if we should setup WSUS (ConfigMgr software update point) on the secondary sites? The main site server is Windows 2008 R2 64bit The secondary site servers are a mixture of Windows 2008 R2 64 bit and Windows 2003 32 bit. Questions: How do we do this and after how to we sync it with the primary site? Or is there a better way that anyone else can suggest
  19. Peter, Just so I get this right, from SMS 2003 you ran an uninstall script to get rid of the SMS client. Then you upgraded the secondary site to SCCM 2007 then pushed out the SCCM client through the Configuration Manager? Also, you wouldn't have the script to uninstall the SMS client would you? Thanks, Erik
  20. Hello everyone, We are still using SMS 2003, but are slowly migrating towards SCCM 2007. My issue lately is when we update one of our secondary sites. The client doesn't like to update, i tried pushing it from the SCCM Manager but no luck. So what I was wondering unless someone else has a better which I'm up for any options, is to push the SCCM client out using SMS 2003, then once they have the new client installed I will go ahead and upgrade that site to SCCM. My questions are, is this possible and does any one know how to do it? Thanks for the help in advance. Erik
  21. Peter, I changed the batch file to look like this: @echo off echo Making local installation source... mkdir c:\install\vpn xcopy %~dp0* c:\install\vpn\ /s /e /q /y echo runnning install... please wait start /wait msiexec /i c:\install\vpn\vpnclient_setup.msi REBOOT=Supress /q Now when I run it on the computer from the command line to test it, it creates the "install\vpn" folders but doesn't copy over the files. Did i created the bat wrong?
  22. Hello Everyone, I am trying to create a Task Sequence that will install Windows 7 32bit, the drivers and all of the software that we use. So far everything is good till I add the Cisco VPN Client package to the Task Sequence. All the other software installs fine, but when it gets to the VPN package it fails with an error: 0x80004005. If I take out the VPN package the Task Sequence completes just fine. Here is the SMSTS.log: <![LOG[invoking Execution Manager to install software ]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.183+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="0" thread="3400" file="installsoftware.cpp:264"> <![LOG[FALSE, HRESULT=80004005 (e:\nts_sms_fre\sms\client\osdeployment\installsoftware\installsoftware.cpp,282)]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="0" thread="3400" file="installsoftware.cpp:282"> <![LOG[Failed to invoke Execution Manager to Install Software for PackageID='SEH0004F' ProgramID='VPN Install' AdvertID='{82FB607A-2F68-4CFF-BBB3-E07F06E91A6A}' hr=0x80004005]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="3" thread="3400" file="installsoftware.cpp:282"> <![LOG[installSoftware failed, hr=0x80004005]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="3" thread="3400" file="installsoftware.cpp:293"> <![LOG[0, HRESULT=80004005 (e:\nts_sms_fre\sms\client\osdeployment\installsoftware\installsoftware.cpp,746)]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="0" thread="3400" file="installsoftware.cpp:746"> <![LOG[Entering ReleaseSource() for E:\SMS\PKG\SEH0004F]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="1" thread="3400" file="resolvesource.cpp:3431"> <![LOG[The user tries to release a source directory E:\SMS\PKG\SEH0004F that is either already released or we have not connected to it]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="2" thread="3400" file="resolvesource.cpp:3481"> <![LOG[pInstall->Install(sPackageID, sProgramName), HRESULT=80004005 (e:\nts_sms_fre\sms\client\osdeployment\installsoftware\main.cpp,374)]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="0" thread="3400" file="main.cpp:374"> <![LOG[install Software failed, hr=0x80004005]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="InstallSoftware" context="" type="3" thread="3400" file="main.cpp:374"> <![LOG[Process completed with exit code 2147500037]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="TSManager" context="" type="1" thread="3828" file="commandline.cpp:1102"> <![LOG[!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------!]LOG]!><time="09:26:03.214+300" date="09-09-2011" component="TSManager" context="" type="1" thread="3828" file="instruction.cxx:3010"> <![LOG[Failed to run the action: VPN.
