Nic Drivers for Dell E6440 - PxeGetPxeData failed with 0x80004005

Question

PXE boot on new Dell E6440 model working but winpe will not start.

F8 and no IP address which I understand is a nic driver issue.

Running SCCM SP1

smsts.log installed

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you for the reply and I was able to load nic drivers directly from Intel to the boot image and the new E6440 model worked for a couple of days.

Now two days later we cannot reach the task sequence stage to complete the image on all of our Dell models. We do hit F8 and confirm there is an IP address which is good, but now we get the following "Failed" errors:

  • Failed to send DDR (0x80004005)
  • RegOpenKeyExW failed for Software\Microsoft\SMS\Task Sequence
  • GetTsRegValue() failed. 0x80070002.

The full smsts.log file attached. All distribution sites are having the same issue as well. (if this helps)

Thanks again

Use the following link and use the WINPE Dell boot image from there

http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/w/wiki/2065.dell-driver-cab-files-for-enterprise-client-os-deployment.aspx

I have over 20 dell models in my Enviroment and they all work fine. That site also has all the .cab files that you need!

If thats not the issue confirm that your PXE settings VIA your IP helpers and Boundaries are set correctly.
