Cannot start WDS service

Question

Hi folks,

1st post here after using the guides to set up a SCCM test lab successfully but I have now encountered a problem and I am looking for some advice -

I have set up a SCCM server on a machine which is also set up as a domain controller. Everything was working ok until now after having not used the server for a while I was unable to pxe boot. I recreated the boot image and got past that problem but had to reinstall WDS. After the server was rebooted I now cannot start the WDS service on the server. I get an event ID 257.

I have tried starting the service with another account but it still does not start and WDS has been fulling reinstalled and the PXE service point removed and re-added. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Have you deletet the folder you created in the wizard after uninstalling WDS?
