Can you push out the new SCCM Client from SMS 2003

Question

Hello everyone,

We are still using SMS 2003, but are slowly migrating towards SCCM 2007. My issue lately is when we update one of our secondary sites. The client doesn't like to update, i tried pushing it from the SCCM Manager but no luck.

So what I was wondering unless someone else has a better which I'm up for any options, is to push the SCCM client out using SMS 2003, then once they have the new client installed I will go ahead and upgrade that site to SCCM.

My questions are, is this possible and does any one know how to do it?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Erik

Peter,

Just so I get this right, from SMS 2003 you ran an uninstall script to get rid of the SMS client. Then you upgraded the secondary site to SCCM 2007 then pushed out the SCCM client through the Configuration Manager?

Also, you wouldn't have the script to uninstall the SMS client would you?

Thanks,

Erik
