PXE boot failure

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I have a problem with PXE booting on my SCCM 2012 SP1.

I get no PXE errors on workstations at all except message - Boot failure.

I have already made following steps with no results:

1. Reinstall PXE role

2. Check network access account

3. Update DP

4. Reassign task to collection

In SMSPXE.log only these records found

***

Client boot action reply: <ClientIDReply><Identification Unknown="0" ItemKey="16777220" ServerName="" ServerRemoteName=""><Machine><ClientID>GUID:48969E5C-ED54-4F0E-B5E2-F5EC2D7C39A3</ClientID><NetbiosName/></Machine></Identification><PXEBootAction LastPXEAdvertisementID="" LastPXEAdvertisementTime="" OfferID="LHQ20004" OfferIDTime="2013-03-06 11:44:00 AM" PkgID="LHQ00008" PackageVersion="" PackagePath="http://SCCM2012L.LAT...MSPKG$/LHQ00005" BootImageID="LHQ00005" Mandatory="0"/></ClientIDReply>

Looking for bootImage LHQ00005

BootImage LHQ00005 needs to be updated (new packageID=LHQ00005) VersionUpdate=true

PXE::CBootImageInfo::CBootImageInfo: key=LHQ00005

Saving Media Variables to "C:\RemoteInstall\SMSTemp\2013.03.06.11.46.03.0002.{E7BB8F91-DC32-4657-AFBF-81A4A6E57A73}.boot.var"

****

That's all. Then my workstation stuck in boot failure.

Any ideas or suggestions?

its says that boot Image needs to be updates , did you make migration for this site from SCCM 2012 TO SCCM 2012 SP1 ?? If so , then you need to update your boot images found when you install Windows ADK.
