  1. I can confirm this. This was a major issue with our environment. Lukily, we had just implemented SCCM 2007 so we didn't need to really "migrate" any data.
  2. Technically, once the 2012 client setup is run, it proceeds to uninstall the 2007 client and then installs the 2012 client.
  3. Resolved this issue by moving my group down to the System Management OU.
  4. Hello, First, I would like to say thank you for all of the useful information listed on this website. Secondly, I seem to be having an issue with two components after a fresh install of SCCM 2007 SP2. I also have the R3 upgrade installed as well. I am running SCCM in Native mode. I am getting a warning message for SMS_HIERARCHY_MANAGER and SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER that don't seem to go away. The error is: Systems Management Server cannot update the already existing object "<SITE SERVER NAME>" in active directory. Possible Cause: This site's SMS Service account or the site server's machine account may not have full control rights for the "System Management" container in Active Directory. Solution: Give the site's SMS Service account full control rights to the System Management" container, and all child objects in Active Directory I've made sure that the computer account has FULL CONTROL of the "System" OU and all of it's child objects. What else can be done to resolve these issues?
