  2. I have found the problem: I had to modify the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\SMS\DP\RamDiskTFTPBlockSize to 8192 instead of 16384 (changed a few times ago) After that, everything went ok except that it is extremely slow. I had to analyses the network possible issue, then after made a traceert, i have seen that there are too many drops and latency. Conclusion: New DP localized in the second domain with pxe Everything is ok now gvlaarho

  5. What's message did you have in your smsts.log if like "Error message 0x800004005 and Execution status received: 24 (Application download failed)", You can try this: Go through your Application definition and Deployment Type tab. Edit your(s) deployment type and select content tab. In the scroll menu called Deployment options ... select "download content from distribution point and run locally"
  6. Hi All, I have for the moment one Standalone primary site with all role configured. The company has bought other company. So we have two different domains with a two way trust. My job now is to manage other domain with my actual SCCM Infrastructure. What's the best way ? CAS ? Secondary site ? Child Site ? Thanks in advance
  7. I all, After delete and re-download every updates for the third time, all seems to work great now. After analyses; it's seems that the NL sources for a little updates was missing or not downloaded and this was probably the cause of all of my problems. This came from the well known problem described @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2783466 for SCCM 2007 environment, but no idea why in SCCM 2012 .... Thank you
  8. Form now, i inject updates with servicing. all is ok for master image creation. When i try to stage one VM from those master image with aditional ui languages, same result .... hangst at the end of downloading updates (or almost at the end). everything is well downloaded. Same result without additional ui languages but with more than about 10 new updates to be applied. I can't imagine that nobody else experience the same issue. NB: for windows 7 master image creation, the KB2522623 can help (it's the case for me; i applied this one before windows updates) Really need some help Config: SCCM 2012 upgraded to SP1 on server 2008 R2 SP1 and SQL 2008 R2 SP2 CU1
  9. Retry 3 times today, impossible to create a master of stage a computer from my old master Always stuck at the end of download between 96 and 99 % This seems occurs after some .net updates or Visual C++ 2008 SP1 update I have this error in CIDownloader.log: ReadStringFromFile failed (0x80070002) and something like that in CAS.log Error: DeleteDirectory:- Failed to delete Directory with Error 0x00000003. Error: DeleteDirectory:- Failed to delete Directory C:\Windows\ccmcache\38.BCWork with Error 0x00000002. No idea if it's related
  10. In fact, the problem is more important now, it's occurs also during master image creation. After the first updates installation pass, very slow and block at downloadin 96%. After about 1 hour, finally installing updates Office installation then other softwares Second Updates Pass -> Downloading updates .... blocks at 96%; everything is downloaded. SMSTS.log: waiting for job status notification ... after 3 hours -> Kill TSInstallSWUpdates.exe processes then restart, new update pass(third) -> waiting for job status notification ... -> Nothing happens This occurs with Windows 7 X64 and Windows 8 X64 For the moment i am working on SCCM 2012 SP1 (Upgraded) Really blocking issue I suspect again like in the past Updatesdeployment.dll and TSInstallSWUpdates.exe. I hope that Microsoft will not take 6 month before a patch. In the meantime, i am blocked.
  11. many hours ... until past the by design maximun of authorized time ... Sinds Many years i always do as follow Creation of master image about each 3 month: Install OS . . Install Office . . End Now, at staging, the first Updates pass hangs then failed If i ignore error, the TS continue then 2nd pass install updates (as they are alredy downloaded during the first pass) I have this symptoms by many clients and this with both SCCM 2007 and 2012 from January
  12. Hello everyone, I have a strange issue since about 2 months and this for SCCM 2012 and SCCM 2007 Latest updates are in the Master image by task sequence and not the "schedule Updates" fonction of SCCM 2012 8 times on 10, at install updates steps in OSD the task stuck at downloading at 100% The famous old patch for SCCM 2007 for stuck at downloading at 0% is applied (not for SCCM2012) When i check, all is downloaded The problematic updates step story continues .... Did you have an idea ? ... Has somebody something else than the stupid embedded install software update of SCCM ? Thanks in advance
  13. Finally found the problem: I have re-extracted the iso file then i had discover that all files where not present in the SXS folder -> "Path File Too long" ... So many time lost for that .... 14. Yes Just a check: What's the size of your SXS folder ? My one: about 271 MB; 1143 Files and 772 Folders
  15. Hi Anyweb, First, thank you for your interset about this topic. Unfortunately already tried, but not working, always 0x800F081F the same error occurs when manually done in the OS (after osd and manual DVD install) I have no idea what's happens If i triy from internet, it's ok ....
  16. Hello, I have tried everything but no chance to install dot net 3.5 in Windows 8 x64 during task sequence Commenad used: Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:\\SCCMpri\Win8sxs \\SCCMpri\Win8sxs with Full access for everyone and SCCM compouter I always receive The source files could not be found. Use the "source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, ... error 0x800F0906 or 0x800F081F Sources \\SCCMpri\Win8sxs comes from DVD and Windows 8 version is Microsoft Windows 8 Enterprise - 9200.16384.-.120725-1247_X64 If somebody as an idea, welcome !
  17. This is effectively works, but it's just a workaround and this is well a bug. So i have removed for the moment the "Client Push Installation" and "Software update-based client installation" and had activated it at hierarchy level for 25 days; almost all clients are upgraded now (Administration -> sites -> cas or pirmary site -> Hierarchy settings -> Client Upgrade Tab (for administraion reason, TS can't be modified) Thanks you
  18. It was in VM and physical computers. Now, sinds SP1 upgrade, this seems no more occurs Thank you all
  19. Hello all, finally we have reinstalled the sql server with the correct collation. thank you all
  20. AD Account; once computer joine the domain, SCCM try to push and this with both the two options mentioned. I think that is for that that new option appears in the hierarchy level ....
  21. Hi all, After one week of investigation, i have discover that if you enable the "Client Push Installation" and/or "Software update-based client installation" in Administartion - Site - your primary site, OSD will failed 9 times on 10 !!!! This is because if AD discovery is enabled, SCCM try to install (push) the client almost at the same time than the "Setup Windows and Configuration Manager" step from your task sequence. You will see in ccmsetup.log something like this: MSI: Action 13:19:20: SmsStopUIComponents. This custom action forces all open client UI components to stop and exit. ccmsetup 15/02/2013 13:19:20 2400 (0x0960) MSI: Action 13:19:20: SmsStopUserComponents. This custom action forces all open client UI and SCNotification components to stop and exit. ccmsetup 15/02/2013 13:19:20 2400 (0x0960) MSI: Action 13:19:20: CcmUnloadWmiProviders. Enumerates all providers and unloads them, verifies they are unloaded, and then reloads them. ccmsetup 15/02/2013 13:19:20 2400 (0x0960) Then .... ==========[ ccmsetup started in process 2128 ]========== ccmsetup 15/02/2013 13:19:25 1156 (0x0484) then finally almost at the end of log: An instance of ccmsetup is running as a service. The current instance will be terminated. ccmsetup 15/02/2013 13:19:31 1156 (0x0484) SO DON'T ENABLE OPTIONS MS should be advised about this because it's a new bug ... SCCM Should see that the station is in provisioning mode then abort or ignore the Push Have a nice experience with SCCM 2012 SP1
  22. Hello All, I need to upgrade some application deployed via software center and administrative approval? The scenario is as follow: I have created one application in the past named Skype 5.10.116. During last month, many users have installed this application after administrative approval. Now, the version 6.1 is available. I must replace the old one in the software center for new request. BUT, i must keep the history of the old version (user already accepted) and this new version should be installed automatically to the already installed old version, and this only on user with approval request and not to "pirate" What is the best way ? Replace source files of the old application or create a new application with superseedence. If new application with superseedence, is the approval history always available ? how to update users that have received the approval for the old version. (i don't want to create a condition with a file because some users have installed the application without approval of approval refused (local admin users ...)) Thanks in advance
  23. I rename the computer with the variable OSDComputername trought a vbscript. Unfortunately, there is no "unkown" computers in all systems and devices. If i change the mac (vm) it's ok, when i return back to the original mac -> Pending request
  24. Already done and all is present; but i don't understand the goal of this manipulation as all works perfectly for all computers, except in case of problem described in this topic. No way to restage those type of computer ... strange behaviour
