Hello Forum Maybe it is quite a strange question, but i cant find anything about it in the Internet. For the SCCM Installation Project î'm writing a Concept and try to put in the different methods how i can deploy OS to Clients - PXE - Prestage Media - Bootable media - I have to explane the method and the benefits/disadvantage. but unfortunately google dosnt know something about it. :-/ can anybody give me some details? many thanks

Hello I am installing the SCCM 2012 Enviroment and have still some questions. 1. do i need a Task Sequence for "Build and Capture Image" and an "Install an existing image package" to deploy WinOS? Or can i just take one of them? for example the "Install an existing image package"? What is the difference between this two? 2. About Collections: If i have a task sequence and i deploy this one to the distribution point, can i distribut it to the "all System Collation" or have i to distribut it to the "unknown Computers"? many thanks for your Help

my hope was in an other advice so it is definitly not possible to use an SQL with an other Collation? I just have the Option to get a new SQL Server with the right collation or a other named instance?

Not yet... i tryed to install the SCCM Server to create a DB. but it Failed. And i tryed to create a DB manualy and set the right Collation and started after the installation. but it dosn't worked.

Hello everybody I'm bussy installing sccm 2012 Configuration Manager in our enviroment. Now i got the following Problem: we are using an SQL Server 2012 with the default Collation and some DBs on it. new the SCCM 2012 DB should be on this SQL Server. But unfortunately this DB needs an other Collation. Is it not possible to change the Collation only on the SCCM DB? I Really dont want to run a new SQL Server to use SCCM. Someone solved this problem allready? many thanks for your help

Hello all i'm new in SCCM and i installed allready a test enviroment and deployed win7 and Office 2010. But now i have to plan the production enviroment with the collections, the sites and the Methode to install Software and OS. do you have a Manual with best practice? i found a lot of MS TechNet but im looking for a Manual like the one von noob.com for the Installation and configuration of sccm. our enviroment: one Default site and one secondary site Default site = 200 Windows 7 Clients Second site = 50 Windows 7 Clients we want: install blank Windows 7 Clients without Software (but including Patches) Our Computer have a Inventar ID -- to MAC Adress Default Software we want to put in one Basic Package so, thats all for now :-D Many thanks for your help
