  1. I did create the application from appv, when the deploy didn´t work i created a second deployment type (msi) but that didnt work either. This is what appdiscovery says: Entering ExecQueryAsync for query "select * from CCM_AppDeliveryType where (AppDeliveryTypeId = "ScopeId_0F074CF9-AD79-4666-BBCE-70973AFD0C6C/DeploymentType_75741e0c-0e2e-48fc-993e-fab424a74327" AND Revision = 3)" AppDiscovery 2015-01-19 10:02:50 3568 (0x0DF0) Performing detection of app deployment type AppV_BIDLink_5.0.0.85 - Microsoft Application Virtualization 5(ScopeId_0F074CF9-AD79-4666-BBCE-70973AFD0C6C/DeploymentType_75741e0c-0e2e-48fc-993e-fab424a74327, revision 3) for system. 2. Hi. We are trying to deploy App-V packages through SCCM2012 r2, but we dont succeed. If I import the app-v package locally with powershell it works, but I can´t get it deployed. I have imported the App-V package as an application in SCCM (not as a package). I have two deployment types, msi and appv (started with just appv). When i deploy the app nothing happens. The deployment monitor says that the package is downloading, then waiting to start, then installing, and then that it will retry. So the deployment doesnt work. We are deploying to machine collection If i take the same source and imports the app with powershell it works fine. If we take a "normal" msi and imports it as an application the installation works. And our usual "package" deployments works like a charm. We can´t find any errors in our client logs either, so we have no idea whats wrong. Anyone with any tips?
  3. we did miss the "assign to site" on the properties for the boundry Group, it is fixed now and it works. But i have another question, can i somehow make the latest version of the agent to get installed during software update-based installation? We are running r2 CU2 today, would be nice if the latest version gets installed so we dont need to upgrade it directly after installation (installed version is ...1000)
  4. Hi, i´m having a problem with step 3 in this guide. Running ConfigMgr 2012 r2 CU2 on two 2012 r2 servers. 5. I have updated the DP, but doing it again now. But the new Wim, i have done nothing about that. As i understands it Schedule Updates makes a copy of the old Wim and renames it to.bak, and it patches the same Wim as i used and therefor i dont need to change any TS or wimfile. or am i wrong?
  6. Hi. We are trying to use Schedule updates for our win7 Wim in our 2012 r2 cu2, we are new to this feature. OfflineServicingMgr.log says success, the console says success, and if i take properties on the wim and checks the installed updates tab it says it have installed 42 updates. but if i after the windows installation completes checks installed updates none of the new patches are there, the only patches i can see are the ones that i applied during the first build we did. And after a few minutes software center tells me that there are 16 win7 updates to be installed. so my questions. Why didnt the 42 updates get installed? Why does software center only provide 16 updates when Schedule Updates said it installed 42? and here is a example from the log. Checking if update (283 of 283) with ID 16797643 needs to be applied on the image. 1 content binarie(s) are associated with the update. Can someone help me understand this? And i have updated the DP, about 1 hour after Schedule updates completet. Regards Erik
  7. Hi again. our problems continues, now we dont get patches anymore in OSD on either our win7 or win8 tasks. at the end of last week all computer got patches in our OSD, and now non. can anyone se anything specific in the logs and maybe guide me in the right direction? https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=B69CD1CE01868052%2124439 edit: Think it is an ADR issue, Think we did some bad thinking, will come back on that
  8. well this sounds like how we do this except that we have a update step to patch office. so far today we have made two osd´s, one known and one unknown computer, both did get patches.. yesterday neither of them did.
  9. yeah so this morning i deleted the computer from cm database and from aduc so it will be an unknown computer. and now it gets patches. so wierd
  10. it is intermittent, some times the patches comes, some times not. the updates that are seen in the log is from our build and capture i did on sunday. our setup are like this: One Win8.1 deploy collection, direct memberships for known computers and then unknown computers One Win7 deploy collection, direct memberships for known computers and then unknown computers One ADR Deploy collection, this collection includes both the Win8.1 and Win7 collection. And our ADR is targeting the ADR Deploy collection. This ADR runs after every SUP sync and contains Win7, Win8, Office 2010 and Office 2013 patches. The result is that our Win7 always succeed to patch during the OSD and our Win8.1 patches sometimes during the OSD, (the last 5 tries with different computers no patches have been applied to our win8.1 machines) After the OSD have completed our Win8.1 still get patches, but from another ADR that targets a "All client" collection. i have tripple checked our ADR, a colleague have dubble checked it, and as i said, there have been patches, some times. So our ADR works (i guess). (the last times the computers have been known computers, i will delete one from the database tomorrow and see if it works if it is an unknown computer)
  11. hi again.. here comes the link to some logs, including windowsupdate.log https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=B69CD1CE01868052%2123727 please help me with this, it is annoying that i get zero patches during OSD with win8.1 when our win7 OSD works, same ADR to both Collections.
  12. Quick question, is it not possible to run software updates during OSD with win8.1 source media? we get this error in WindowsUpdate.log Windows OOBE is still in progress. AU deferring detection. #WARNING: Failed to find updates with error code 8024a008 OOBE is in progress, so cannot perform Accelerated Install.
  13. seems like the task failed during the wmic, feels like something goes wrong with the cm install, initializing takes forever and no updates get installed. will check the logs tomorrow at work
  14. I will catch the WindowsUpdate.log next time, running an OSD right now. We have one Collection for deploying win8.1 and one Collection for deploying win7. We have an ADR that targets a general deploy Collection where both the win7 and win8.1 Collections are included. So these two machines who is struggeling are deployed exactly the same way as the three win8.1 that works. For the Surface machines im applying the March2014 firmware and driver pack but i have replaced the firmware with the May firmware: KB2963062. (i have tried with both the october and february package, but same problem) And during the setup and configure step i am applying the CU1 hotfix for the cm agent. And before "install software updates" i run this command: "WMIC /namespace:\\root\ccm path sms_client CALL TriggerSchedule "{00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000113}" /NOINTERACTIVE" i will come back with some logs as soon as i have them... EDIT and now again, after a reboot the step "initializing the system center 2012 r2 configuration manager client" takes forever. is it the smsts.log i shall be looking in?
