Similar problem:http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7522-wsus-sync-sccm-error/ Try to unselect all Classisfications in SUP, ran wsusutil reset, ran another sync, re-add Classifications.

For those Unknown devices, you can check logs on them. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh427342.aspx#BKMK_SU_NAPLog Deployment Monitoring Tool is very helpful.

Have you checked those update logs on the client? Windowsupdate.log, WUAHandler.log -
