  1. Also is the task sequence variable _SMSTSMediaType Not Equals FullMedia required for the Install Updates step?

  3. I should have read this one before. My OSD downloads and installs the updates reasonably well, but always seems to sit at the last update for 30 minutes.
  4. Do you have an ip-helper on your vlan, assuming you may be using a layer 3 and not layer 2.
  5. Hi All, I have an OSD task sequence with Windows Updates deployed to the collection and it is working ok, finds the updates and appears to install them, but I can't figure out why it sits there doing nothing for maybe an hour after the last update is installed. Currently it is sat on Installing 132 of 132 Updates, eventually it will reboot but sometimes the updates fail to apply. Any ideas where I'm going wrong?
  6. Hi All, I made a task sequence to capture user state, then Apply Operating System etc. I disabled the steps to Partition and Format the disk, and have OSDPreserveDriveLetter = False set. The OS then installed onto D:. Is the issue that I have OSDPreserveDriveLetter set? Also this build had BitLocker continually asking for the Recovery Key on boot up.
  7. Did you sort this out? Is your computer being put into the correct OU during OSD and before the software tries to install? Have you other software as a requirement/dependency and does that application also have "Allow this application to be installed from the Install Application task sequence action without being deployed" checked, or do you have "Primary Device" set as a requirement?
  8. We use a Task Sequence variable called Office and then enter a 3 letter code based on site. The apply windows settings based on the Task Sequence Variable Office equals ***
  9. I know this is a really old post, but I'm trying to create a TS to capture user data on a BitLocker W7 x64 machine, rebuild and then restore the data and enabling BitLocker again. I'm just unable to get the USMT to run to capture the user state. I'm trying to do this in WinPE. USMT for Windows 8, is this compatible for Win 7? I'm guessing it won't work because the BitLocker drive is not unlocked. How do I unlock the drive? I put the Disable BitLocker step at the very beginning of the TS and it fails straight away.
  10. We had the time issue too. I would try and PXE boot the SP3 and it would reboot as soon as it got to the "preparing network connections" stage. I didn't know about the time and date in command prompt, so the only way I could fix the issue was to factory reset, put the time and date correct and then PXE boot again, and it worked fine. None of these had low battery, we had the issue on maybe 3 out of 12 SP3s. It does look like the time went back to manufacture date. Looking at the above pic, isn't that time and date on the PXE server though? I did check mine in CMD after I corrected the date and time in Windows, and it showed 30 mins out. The reason I thought for this, is that I'm in Adelaide and our SCCM server is in Brisbane. They're 30 mins behind us at the moment, and the time showed correct for Brisbane.
