  2. I seemed to be able to uninstall R3 The version numbered stay same. 4.00.6487.2000 I found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Center_Configuration_Manager shows the version/build numbers I saw the mention of KB 977203 and went looking for it and upon attempting to install this on the SCCM server I got message saying the build must be 2195 to 6005. the patch file is SCCM2007-SP1-KB977203-X64ENU.EXE **resists urge to pull more hair... any suggestions welcome...
  3. Upgrade to SP2 guide - http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1360-updating-sccm-2007-sp2-rc-or-beta-to-sp2-final/ It seems somehow i installed R3 but the sccm version is showing the build number/version ending in 2000 and not 2001 which would indicated sp2 installed. **pulls a clump of hair out... argh! * takes a deep breath... Im thinking if i cant remove r3 , step back, and then try install sp2 i will have to start from scratch.
  4. ok just found this SP2 guide here and I saw something straight away on it... http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1360-updating-sccm-2007-sp2-rc-or-beta-to-sp2-final/ if SP2 was install the SCCM version number in the Site Management Object properties would end 4.00.6487.2000 wiki shows the build versions http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Center_Configuration_Manager
  5. Hi i looked tru that log and I see someone thing same as an issue im currently dealing with. <![LOG[Client OS Version is 6.1, Service Pack Version 0]LOG]!><time="02:24:59.659+000" date="03-24-2011" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="1652" file="ccmsetup.cpp:533"> <![LOG[Client OS is not a supported Windows Embedded Platform]LOG]!><time="02:24:59.659+000" date="03-24-2011" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="1652" file="ccmsetup.cpp:535"> this is the first main issue to be resolved, as I believe by fixing that the other tasks will then work. I found a note on this , it is related to not having Service Pack2 installed. Now you're probably thinking same as I did when I first read that.... "but I did install SP2" . I'm working on it now and hope to solve this today and will revert to this post with solution, fingers crossed.
  6. I discovered this morning that windows 7 or windows 7 sp1 requires SP2 for sccm as the cause for ccmsetup not being able to install . At the time I was trying to do it manually (ccmsetup.exe etc...) I thought this odd as I remembered having to install SP2 as part of the sequence for installation of SCCM, which i completed a few months ago. So i went and checked the version details for SCCM on my server.. 4.00.6487.2000, R3 - Yes. (Site Server : Local[iEDUBAPP010], SQL Server : Remote Server[iEDUBAPP001]) Other than a WSUS SYNC Component alert everything else looks fine. My only package for now is a office 2007 and that seems to work /deploy fine for vista machines. the details of the ccmsetup log in c:\ccmsetup\ on the windows 7 machine shows : <![LOG[==========[ ccmsetup started in process 2444 ]==========]LOG]!><time="09:59:02.009+-60" date="04-18-2011" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="3364" file="ccmsetup.cpp:9010"> <![LOG[Version: 4.0.6487.2000]LOG]!><time="09:59:02.009+-60" date="04-18-2011" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="3364" file="ccmsetup.cpp:2068"> <![LOG[Command line parameters for ccmsetup have been specified.
