2003 WDS and AD/DS Server but Nt4 dhcp

Question

Is it possibe to use WDS which is part of a 2003 AD but the NT4 DHCP is in a NT4 domain.

Ive setup a new 2003 SP2 server so have no images

thinking nothing had to be configured DHCP side i booted my client using PXE but it doesnt pick up a DHCP address just times out.

Im am in a corporate environment and confirmed DHCP is still working after installing WDS

Do you know what Bootfile name i should use on the DHCP server or in WDS in the X86 setting

Basically im going to deploy and capture Windows 2k3 and XP images.

We wont be going onto Vista or & anytime soon

i honestly don't know if nt4 dhcp will work or not, can you set server options on the dhcp server and point it to the WDS server and add a pxe option ? if not, you are probably out of luck

Dont know how you got a folder with SMS in the name

But ive set the DHCP NT server 067 Bootfilename and the WDS Server boot options to

OSChooser\I386\StartRom.com

Cheers

try REMINST/SMSBoot/x86/pxeboot.com

Thanks all

One more question why so many boot rooms, Startup.ROM, wdsnbp.com etc are they all the same for different Os's?

ah well we use SCCM here, hence the SMS in the filename, but glad it's working now :)
