SCCM 2012 R2 CAS or not to CAS?

Question

Hello,

I have at the moment a primary site with 36 DP's across Europe, to manage around 9000 clients (client devices only with W7, W8 and starting to test W10)

My company wants to upgrade to SCCM 1511, so we can support Windows 10, add the servers to be managed by the SCCM too.

I did search online, but did not find an answers, so asking the experts here.

My question is, should we go to CAS, to have a separate primary to clients and another to servers, or not? What is the best practice? From my point of view, I would have then separate to avoid any possible errors and packages being send to production servers by "mistake".

Would you give me your opinion and point me to the right option in terms of best practice?

Let me know if you need any more info or specs.

Many thanks for you help.

Patricia
