Big sized download at port 8530 between clients and SUP

Question

Hello,

I already did the optimization on WSUS, declining second e last level supersede updates, running WSUS Cleanup, but clients are still downloading on port 8530 something big than 200 Mb and are killing my WAN links.

  1. How can I calculate the catalog size that clients download from SUP at port 8530?
  2. Can I reduce this catalog size? How?
  3. This download is just at the first sync? How can I view this?

Sorry about my bad English.

Regards

Nelson

The first tiem a Client scans for SU there is a fairly large download from the SUP. After that it is Delta downloads.

Hello, Garth.

How can I know the size of this download? And size of Delta downloads?

How can I see if the clients are doing Full Downloads more than should?

Att

Nelson
