SCCM 2007 | Product Win Server 2012 not showing up

Question

Can the below be used with any hotfix like 2750782 ?

Net stop wuauserv
rd /s %windir%\softwaredistribution\
Net start wuauserv

Chances are that you haven't got too many Windows 8 or Server 2012 clients deployed yet in production, but if you have then this seems like something to get scripted, packaged and deployed via Configuration Manager... oh wait, you'd need System Center SP1 for that to be supported in production.

Hi,

1.You need to install the hotfixes required for WSUS 3.0 sp2 to be able to download Windows 8/Server 2012 updates. It is described here: http://systemscentre.blogspot.se/2012/09/preparing-wsus-for-windows-8-and-server.html

KB2734608 and 2720211. After that you should run the Synchronise software updates from the SCCM admin console., then Windows 8 and Server 2012 should be avalable as Products.

You also need to apply a hotfix to SCCM 2007 to support Windows / Server 2012 if you haven't done it already, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2750782

2. You can see that under Site Management, Sitename, Site Settings, Site Systems and see which sevrer has the Software Update Point role.

3. It is not supported do deploy Windows8/server 2012 using SCCM 2007..

Regrads,

Jörgen
