Windows 8.1 client not finding new deployments

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am currently testing windows 8.1 and i noticed when I first install the SCCM client any package that I had configured for All systems appear for install. However if I add a new package or application, it will not appear after refreshing the policies. I never had this problem in Windows 7 or 8. Is this a known issue? I am using the latest update of SCCM 2012 SP1 and that is running on Windows Server 2008 R2. Any help or information would be great.

Thank you.

The client is the latest from the SP1 release. The client machine says 9.99.9999.9999 in the installation properties though...that doesnt sound right...

I installed Windows 8.1 via a task using an 8.1 ISO from my volume license center, during the task, Configuration Manager client is installed. Once the task is complete I log into windows and I see the 2 deployments that go to all machine, but if i add a 3rd, it never appears regardless of my attempts. I can install the other 2 applications without any issue, but if I cant add new ones, that's a problem.

Maybe I should upgrade to R2? Unfortunately I need to deploy 4 surface 2 pros this week, so I'm going to have to figure this out haha...
