  1. Is there a way to get a last modified date of the file "GALContact.db"? Also how do I deploy this script, is this something I put in compliance settings or can I put it in a query? Thanks Kevin
  2. I am trying to create a query that will do something similar. I am trying to find any machines that have the file "GalContacts.db" present in any of the sub folders of this location; %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync Can anyone help with this? Thanks Kevin
  3. I’m having a bit of a problem with deployments in our US sites. Required applications are not installing they are downloaded but sit with this message in Software Center “past due will be installed”, but never install. You can however manually install them by clicking the install button. It only seems to affect newly built machines (all clients are Windows 7) My Primary site is in the UK and I have a distribution point in the US. The UK site handles all of the Europe deployments and the DP in the US, all the US deployments. I have tested this on a newly built laptop in the UK, it pulls down all the required applications and AV defs and installs them fine. However any new machines in the US, install the client and AV, but nothing else, also the version of the AV it installs is an old version. It only seems to be on new builds as any current workstations have been receiving app deployments. Distribution groups and sites all look fine in Monitoring. Clients are getting the correct client settings, boundaries are in there. I’m all out of ideas, what am I missing?
  4. Hi, We have had to move the location of the WSUS content folder, as the drive it is on has maxed out. It was migrated by our WSUS team, from drive E to G. CM is now reporting that "WSUS Sync failed". Can anyone tell me what changes I need to make on CM when the content location folder has been moved? The database has stayed in the same location. We manage all updates via the WSUS console and not through the CM console. Hope this makes sense! Kevin
  5. Hi, I am having a bit of an issue with the EP antimalware release. All our clients have tried to update to 4.4304.0 overnight. Coming in this morning all machines have failed to update. Deployment Description; You must restart your computer before running this setup. You didn't restart your computer after running a system Center Endpoint Protection setup.... to complete the setup you must restart Error; 0x8004FF25 We currently have 500+ machines like this, none have SCEP installed as the previous version has been removed. We have restarted the majority of machines, but they are still not getting the new release. Only a handful have got the new version. Can anyone think of why this is? Thanks Kevin
  6. *** RESOVED *** User and Device Affinity was set too high! so the user had no primary device. Doh!
  7. I have also created new packages and still receive the same error on the AppCatalog
  8. I am having a bit of trouble with CM 2012 SP1. We recently had cert issues with our Cert Authority and we had to re-create most certs. I was able to get CM back up and running and everything was deploying fine. Yesterday the CM Primary site server restarted due to unforeseen circumstances and ever since clients have not been able to run programs from the application catalog, they are getting the below error on ALL apps; "Application installation not started The application could not be installed. The most common reason is that software does not support the version of Windows currently installed on your computer." I am not seeing any errors from the logs I am going through. There is a warning on the distribution point as it is almost full 9GB free, but I assume that can’t be related. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks Kevin
  9. Hi John, It turned out my issue was that some little rascal deleted the "ConfigMgr SQL Server Ident Certificate" from the trusted root certificates. So unless you have been mucking about with certificates our problem might not be related. Kevin
  10. In the Task Seq, is there a way to pre-populate the "Installation Properties" box with your MP (SMSMP=****.***)? to point it to the MP?
  11. I was hoping to avoid that as we have WSUS on the CM server as well. I'm trying to track down what cert is having issues, unfortunately my knowledge on certs is limited.
  12. I am hoping someone can help me, I have been having a nightmare with CM for the last week. I previously had CM catalog configured and working via HTTP and I was wanting to change it to HTTPS for mobile device management. I created certs and made a few changes in IIS and the CM Admin console and it didn't work so I removed the Application Catalog roles and tried to revert it back to HTTP. Since then the APP Catalog has stopped working with the attached error. I have resolved all errors in the site status so have no alerts to work with in CM. However event viewer has the below constant 2 errors; ----------------------------------- Event ID 36882 The certificate received from the remote server was issued by an untrusted certificate authority. Because of this, none of the data contained in the certificate can be validated. The SSL connection request has failed. The attached data contains the server certificate. Event ID 36888 The following fatal alert was generated: 48. The internal error state is 552. ----------------------------------- So from what I gather it looks like I have lost authentication\trust with the SQL side of CM? Has anyone encountered this or have any idea on what I need to look for to resolve this? I am running SCCM SP1 windows server 2008 R2 Thanks Kevin
  13. Software - Companies and Products; All Software companies Computers with a specific product It seems to any software relate report
  14. Hi, I am hoping someone can help. CM seems to be logging all inventoried software as it shows over 9800+ items. And as you can see from the attached file the Asset Intelligence point seems to be installed correctly. Client settings have been configured to enable hardware inventory. However when I try and pull software a report on any type of software, it only gives me the result for the software on one specific machine on our domain. its as if it only can see one machine on the domain. So if I try and run a report for all versions of solid edge, it only returns result if it is installed on the machine "jl-wpark"! Any ideas or anything else I need to check?
  15. Hi, I am hoping someone can help, I am deploying an .msi app to all users. It is a small msi but will require users to restart their machine. I am in no mad rush for them to restart, just whenever they get the chance will do. The supplier of the msi has given me the command to install the app silently and how to suppress the reboot; msiexec /i "PGClient_x64.msi" /qn /norestart If I run this command manually, it will run silently and suppress the reboot. However I want to run this without any notifications on the clients machine. I created the package and added the command to the install. In the collection, I set it to "required" and for the user experience I set it to "hide in Software Center and all notifications" However at deployment, on the clients machine I get the prompt that "Your computer is about to restart" within 90mins. Am I missing something simple? I don't want any notifications! lol Thanks Kevin
  16. Hi, I'm having a bit of a nightmare with the reporting service. I first had it up and running but the report log size was going through the roof. So I uninstalled the reporting service from the sql server and removed the role from CM. I also deleted the “ReportServer” DB. Now I have reinstalled the sql reporting service. I tried to create a “ReportServer” database, but I am getting an error that this already exists. So I named it NewReportServer and have added the role to CM, but in component status the reporting point is critical. Can anyone help?
  17. Yea deleted all records of old site.I might have to add a regkey in GP, which I didnt want to have to do.
  18. Hi all, I have been working with SCCM 2012 for the last few months I have had it installed and up and running successfully. Due to some issues I have to rebuild the server, since doing so I have changed the site code from SEL to P01. It seems the client is being pushed out to all machines again, however when I go in to check the site code on the clients machine, it is still looking for the old site (SEL). If I manually click "find site" it will update it and will allow users to received packages. Does anyone know how I can force the site code to look for the new site (P01)? Hope this makes sense, Thanks Kevin
