  1. Thanks anyWeb! Question, do I need to add to add video drivers to display the HTA correctly? I am copying the boot image to a partition (part of converting bios to uefi in a single TS), rebooting to that partition, and when the HTA loads not all of the components/optioms are visible. Outside of this scenario, straight uefi pxe, everything displays correctly.
  2. Although I have a task sequence (non-hta) that accomplishes this, but would this be able to handle a legacy to uefi conversion? Currently doing this utilizing tsenv2, creating a 4gb Partition, copying the boot media to that Partition, and rebooting to that Partition after changing the dell bios to uefi. Found that solution with 1e tsenv2 and another blog.
  3. So my TS to migrate from XP to Windows 7 worked on my VM great. Now I am testing against a physical machine and the SMSTS shows an error in which google did not have an answer for! 4. Make sure your client package and package upgrade are distributed to the DPs either way redistribute them and try again. That was my issue until I noticed it wasn't then it worked
  5. I would instead of dealing with XML editing use OCT create custom msp that you need and just call the specific msp needed . Root of office in cmd type setup.exe /admin. Other make sure when you make your changes you redistributed it to your DPs.
  6. Looks like it installed successfully with a error return code 0. Restart the agent host service on the box or bounce it. I have noticed it can take a while to report back. If you don't have it installed already check out right click tools.
  7. Two servers one is SCCM and the other is the SQL box for SCCM I attempted to integrate Flexara Admin Studio for SCCM however received errors so I uninstalled the application. Since than anything IIS related does not function application catalog for example and when attempting to install a client receive HTTP 500 errors. What have I done uninstalled IIS Rebooted Launch server manager to allow it to finish removing Rebooted Removed MP, DP, & App Web roles Rebooted Installed IIS and necessary features Reinstalled MP, DP, & App Web roles I have no backup(s) to use whether snapshot or SCCM backup. Any suggestions or just start from scratch with new db and sccm box(es)?
  8. Anyweb its a single server with sql on a seperate box. Got it to finally stop well so far this morning its behaved. Well I lied I attempted a client install on one machine and I keep getting :Unable to connect to WMI (root\ccm) on remote machine" and on the error on the machine side says "didn't return DP locations for client package with the expected version". Anywas, besides deleting the CCR files you must stop and start the SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER service in ConfigMgr Service Manger. Thanks for the help!
  9. Good morning! Anyweb - I am opening my device collection, selecting the one machine I want to install the client on, right click, and install client. The summary of client push installation even shows the one client I picked and states Resources to be installed from site: 1. Rocket Man - I wish that was the case but I never enabled it and doubled checked to make sure it was disabled. I hope I can figure this out because otherwise I can't go to production with this ghost.
  10. So I turned the box back on. CCM log state both CCR counts are 0. I attempt to install the client onto only 1 machine and I as watch the log its installing to a bunch of other machines still.
  11. Thanks for the response. No it is off.
  12. Used all the great guides here to get SCCM 2012 up and running. I am up to only 15 test machines getting inventory, pushing software, etc but it was running great. Well I pushed the client install to one machine in a device collection that contain 7 computers. So as I am watching the ccm log so I can understand its process. I all the sudden see more than just the one computer in the device collection of seven in the log. Knowing something is not right and I can not deploy to over 1000 computers I shut it down. Did some quick googling and deleted the *.ccr files in CCR.box, CCR.box\inproc, and \inboxes\ccrretry.box after stopping the sms executive service. No matter how many times I have done this it continues to try to push out to the entire company (assuming) every time i reboot the box or restart the services. Any suggestions or just blow the box away and start from scratch? ccm.log
