  1. Hi all, in the summer we updated to 2012 R2 SP2 and everything works great, OSD works fine and I used the new Configuration Manager Client Upgrade Package (v6) pushed out for the setup configmgr step. Recently we just installed CU1 and now I can't get the client to install on desktops during OSD. On laptops without a DVD drive it works fine. On desktops it tries to do some funky stuff with disk D (the dvd drive). I've copied my logs below. Any ideas? Short of just unplugging the dvd during build? At the end of the client.msi it mentions running out of space on D. Thanks! 2. Hello, I am struggling with some reports from users of updates installing mid-day, randomly and not during their specified "off hours". Every month we have an ADR that targets a collection of ALL WINDOWS 7 Clients. It creates a new software update group, makes the update available 4 hours after the ADR runs, and the deadline is 10 days later. This rule runs at 2AM. The user experience is to Display updates in Software Center and show all notifications. Under Deadline Behavior Software Installation is checked and nothing else. The client computer has set work hours for 7-7 Every weekday. They have also checked the "Automatically install or uninstall required software and restart the computer only outside of business hours" There is no defined maintenance window on the collection since we have some 24 hour shifts. Am I missing something? Is there something else to check? Thanks! This is 2012 SP1 CU3
  3. These are such great posts. Long time listerner- first time caller here. We are just now getting to the process of migrating from WSUS to SCCM for our updates. I've got all the clients setup and ADR's working etc. The only issue I am having is with the server updates and how to set those up. I have run your script and have all the folders/collections setup. I just don't know what to do next, and how to set the maintenance windows for the collection that says Server 2008 Maintenance Window. I am assuming the "2008 Manual" is best served by just manually specifying which servers I want to do manually. In the guide it says you will cover maintenance windows, but I can't find that post, did I miss it? Thanks so much for your help and these posts!
