  1. The issue I'm describing is VERY FRUSTRATING. We are decommissioning a proxy server yet our firewall is still showing windows 7 computers hitting the proxy server. Here are the steps that I've taken and what I've looked at on one of the computers in question. DESELECTED "Automatically Detect Settings" Set "Use automatic configuration script" to reference the CORRECT proxy server that is currently in use DESELECTED AND CLEARED the entry under the "Proxy Server" entry for "Use a proxy server for your LAN......" Fields are blank and UNCHECKED Edited the registry a
  2. Hello to all, I open my record again at the forum with a problem that is driving me crazy I have in my work environment a problem with many accounts that are abnormally block. I started all the troubleshooting steps, and slowly I'm probably coming to realize what it is, but I have this event that I can not read well: EventId: 5 The kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_TKT_NYV error from the server% 1. This Indicates That the ticket used against That server is not yet valid (in relationship to That time server). Contact your system administrator to make sure the client and s
  3. Hello All, My task is to trigger the HTA during windows installation and showcase the static screens while the installation continues in the background. Now the issue I'm facing is to trigger the HTA to appear on screen. I'm tying to test my sample HTA file but during installation startup, all I'm seeing is "a blank white window". Below is the code of my HTA file: <html> <head> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <style> .fullbackground{ position:relative; width:100%; /* alternative: right:0; */ height:100%; /* alt
  4. I am trying to install the windows 7 from sccm 2012 but every time my destination pc boots into boot file and restart after showing the task sequence. What could be the cause of this? I am deploying custome windows 7 wim file.
  5. I have determined how to properly place new computers in their appropriate OU's based on some html drop down options. However I want to go even further and place Windows8 machines in a subdirectory of the Ou's they go into. What statement should I be using for this? The only thing that specifies if it is a win 7 or 8 is the deployment. One is called Windows 7 Deployment in the software library and one is called Windows 8 Deployment. How would I use these variables?
  6. Hi All, First time poster. I have an odd issue and I am not sure it belongs under Windows 7, but I didn't see a better choice. The issue we are having is strange. Users running windows 7 on HP 4000pro computers are having issues with connectivity to one of our domain controllers. I say its with one because they can ping and contact other computers and servers on our Lan/Wan but cannot access the Domain controller on their local Lan. If we go into DHCP and block the IP they have assigned and renew the address with a new IP they then can connect. A few weeks later they will again have th
  7. Hello, I am struggling with some reports from users of updates installing mid-day, randomly and not during their specified "off hours". Every month we have an ADR that targets a collection of ALL WINDOWS 7 Clients. It creates a new software update group, makes the update available 4 hours after the ADR runs, and the deadline is 10 days later. This rule runs at 2AM. The user experience is to Display updates in Software Center and show all notifications. Under Deadline Behavior Software Installation is checked and nothing else. The client computer has set work hours for 7-7 Every weekda
  8. Hello all, I'm still fairly new to SCCM2012, and I have a couple of questions. I looked online, but didn't have much luck as to finding a direct answer. Does SCCM2012 automatically deploy the new Win7 updates that I add to my deployment package? Or do I have to manually create an entire new deployment package? What I would ideally like to do is deploy new Win7 updates biweekly (or even monthly), and i'm not positive of the best way to approach this. My goal is to have it be as automated as possible.
  9. Is it possible to have a prompt to add domain users as an admin when deploying an OS image? Ive looked this up but it looks like its only possible by using a HTA frontend. I wanted to avoid this if possible.
  10. Hi guys I am all new to using ImageX to capture images of Windows 7 and could use a good advice. I have made myself a customized Windows PE image that I have added an additional folder called “Tools” to. In this folder I have added some command line tools that might be handy to have when I boot on my Windows PE image. It would be nice if this path was included to the path environment at boot time so I don't need to change directory to use these command line tools. How can I easily add an extra path environment to my Windows PE image?
