Using an Unattend.xml file solved this problem for me. Create an Unattend.xml file by using Windows System Image manager 1. Load Windows 7 Enterprise WIM file (install.wim) 2. select which components or packages you want changed during OSD to include in your answer file(example: Regional Settings, Do not clear Taskbar, Copy Profile (good for syspreping!)) 3. Save your answer file as Unattend.xml or watever.xml 4. Create a new package only if you dont have an existing Custom Settings package in SCCM 5. edit your Task Sequence, under Apply Operating System Image --> tick Use an Unattend or sysprep answer file. 6. Locate your Unattend.xml this will give you control.

Hi, Couple of questions... 1. after imaging did you find that NIC driver isnt installed? 2. Is the NIC driver included in the Boot Image? After looking at the log where drivers are being injected.. it seems like your using the wrong drivers or you havent packaged the drivers you imported to the system. hope this helps

Select date and time: 1hour 7. OK Most of the time it will show a full report. But it becoming frequent that it will show an empty report. There are no errors in the logs for all sites...

Hi, Every morning when a run 'All Status Message' query or other queries - occassionally it does not show any information at all. The only way i fix this issue is to restart SMS EXECUTIVE services. I have finally configured a workaround on this topic. 1. Scheduled Backup: Winthin Windows backup itself - created a schedule for a weekly backup - very simple 2. Notification: Notification was a bit tricky as i have to create a task on task scheduler to trigger an email when a backup successfully complete or failed. Please let me know if you need moer info on this. 3. Folder Organisation Wbadmin does all this.. not required. Cheers!

Hi, Previously with Windows 2003 using NTbackup for ext USB HDD i am able to..... 1. Create a Backup 2. Specify the location and the name of the logfiles 3. Create separate folders for different days of backup using a batch file 4. Send out a notification to a designated email address of logs using BLAT.EXE However with the new wbadmin.. i cannot perform most of the above mentioned.... Thank you for posting! there's some minor adjustment i made since i have an existing unattend.xml specified in the TS already. -- basically i just added the extra line in the newly created unattend.xml using WSIM. it seemed to have worked. cheers!
