  1. I am also seeing this issue in my environment. about 10% of systems are failing to install SCUP published Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader updates. anyone get a solution to this?
  2. Hi All, I have a couple of fairly advanced questions: here is my scenario: A user's device has multiple App-V Applications targeted to it (e.g. 15), SCCM will choose a random order to download and install these applications, however one of them fails at the download stage (whether due to boundary issue, content not being found on the DP etc) Because these are required deployments, the option to cancel is greyed out. 1. Does anyone know what the timeout for the application to download the content is? 2. Is there anyway to force the cancellation of the download (e.g. via WMI / Scripts) on the client side (without changing policy / removing the device from the deployment) Thanks Dave
  3. I believe if you cannot use the System Management container, you have to publish MPs to DNS instead (this will allow clients to find management points to communicate with). https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/bb632936.aspx < this is for CM07 but I assume it will be the same for CM12. AFAIK the System Management container is used exclusively for SCCM, you just need the site server full control on all descendent objects on that container for it to publish the MP details to AD.
  4. You can also use the ContentLibraryExplorer tool (from ConfigMgr 2012 R2 Toolkit - http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=36213) to view if the content is in the DPs Content Library. It is most likely already on the DP as Ath3na has just mentioned. - the Console will only show DPs available that do not already have the content. Dave
  5. Hello all, Just wanted to say a big thanks to Niall, and the rest of the community, this website has been excellent at helping me out over the years with all ConfigMgr related issues! definitely wouldn't be the engineer I am today without all your help I have a question regarding Site Replication & Thread limits. My organisation has a large SCCM environment, with a CAS and 6 primary sites, with multiple secondary sites under each primary. We are trying to optimise the total threads & threads per site to increase performance of the replication of data across the hierachy. I've been going through a lot of the TechNet documentation regarding bandwidth management etc (mainly https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/gg712701.aspx#BKMK_BandwidthBetweenSites) and cannot find what I am looking for. My questions are: 1. Does the 'Sender' settings (Properties of a site) only affect File based replication? or does it also affect database replication? 2. The 'warning' in the above link which states: "When you configure rate limits to restrict the bandwidth use on a specific file replication route, Configuration Manager can use only a single thread to transfer data to that destination site. Use of rate limits for a file replication route overrides the use of multiple threads per site that are configured in the Maximum concurrent sendings for each site." does this only affect file replication routes? or does the same apply for database replication routes, and also sending to remote distribution points? 3. Can anyone recommend / advise any 'best practice' or recommendations for optimising the concurrent thread settings? any links or advice is welcome Thanks Dave
