  1. Mind posting how you solved this for anyone else who may have this problem in future.
  2. The log file will probably tell you what apps it is failing on. When I ran into a similar issue it was Candy Crush and Twitter that was causing the issue. To get around this fully update your system (this is important as one of the updates just installs Candy Crush and Twitter) then just before you capture go to the start menu, right click on Candy Crush and Twitter and choose uninstall (these are not provisioned apps, they are installed per user not system). See if that helps. If it doesn't post back with the log file.
  3. Have a look at this about removing the datastore from the clients (going to guess that the datastore on your master image is the cause of this problem).http://blogs.technet.com/b/sus/archive/2008/09/18/wsus-clients-fail-with-warning-syncserverupdatesinternal-failed-0x80244010.aspx Next if you want to remove WSUS from the client there are some registry settings you can set that will set the clients to get their updates from Microsoft (or turn it off etc). We had a problem where I tried to update our MDT image using WSUS and then after the capture and deploy all the clients were still trying to check in against our WSUS server (for these machines they are taken off site so they need to get their updates from Microsoft and not our WSUS server). I just pushed the registry key changes out over Group Policy and everything went back the way it should.
  4. Try this http://www.joedissmeyer.com/2012/02/mdt-troubleshooting-unable-to-map.html
  5. What happens if you use this different model NIC for the entire install? Just wondering if your USB hub is dying.
  6. Which registry enteries did you change? Please keep us posted as I would love to speed up the deployment of images via MDT.
  7. Did you ever find an awser to this as now I am in the same situation of wanting to change the volume ID using MDT.
  8. With the amount of acronyms used I feel this is a must to be able to search for two characters as well.
  9. I would guess there will probably be an official post about this but for those who haven't heard MDT 2012 beta 1 has been released. Get more info at Microsoft Technet Solutions Accelerators MDT page or follow the link (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/solutionaccelerators/dd407791.aspx)
  10. Yes, problem seems to be fixed but I am not sure how. It was either me turning the firewall off or fixing up the MSSQL errors I had (needed to enable tcp on the SCCM's servers ip address in the SQL server configuration manager) so that the reporting service could work correctly. As I said not sure but my sites have now populated while I wasn't looking so yay I guess. Thanks
  11. I am having trouble with the last step of the 2012 beta 2 guide (http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3676-using-vnext-beta2-in-a-lab-part-2-configuration/), the guide says that after adding in a boundary and then adding that to a boundary group I should be able to hit refresh and my AD sites will populate however this does not happen for me (no AD sites populate). I have set the IP address range to 10.0.0.10 - 10.0.0.100 and my AD site subnet is set to 10.0.0.0/24, I have disabled the firewall, restarted both VM's (vmware workstation 7.1.4 build 385536) and still no luck. My setup SCCM 2012 beta 2 server IP address 10.0.0.2/24 Windows 2008 R2 SP1 + some patch's MSSQL 2008 SP1 + CU10 with firewall rules added. AD server IP address 10.0.0.1/24 Windows 2008 R2 SP1 + some patch's (same one's at sccm server) Any ideas on what might be causing this or where I could find some log files that might shed some light on this problem? Thanks
  12. Thank you so much for find out what was causing this problem I have been running into this all day and thought it was because I had SP2 which I then removed and installed CU 13 and something went a mess so I have been installing and removing SQL all day (wish I had of checked the error logs instead of going off on my own tangent and wild goose chase).
  13. Has anything changed in the installation and configuration needed to setup beta 2 from how you setup and configured beta 1?
  14. I was pointed to this article on technet (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc161372.aspx) and the error message indicates that the report user account needs local logon permission. As I have set vnext up on a domain controller you can't give a user account local logon so I added report user to the administrators group which does have local logon rights and I am now able to generate reports.
  15. When I try and run a report I get the following error. I have added report user to SMS_V01 and reportserver database and granted reportuser db_accessadmin rights. I have enabled impersonating users in configmgr reporting services point. System.Exception An error has occurred during report processing.
