  1. A network related topic? So I'm asking in the wrong forum? /nimmer
  2. Hi, We have created a child domain (2008 R2) and wants the clients in this domain to get their ip-address from a scope created on a DHCP server in the child domain, not from the main DHCP server. Is this possible? Best regards /nimmer
  3. The bios date were about 2 months wrong on one elitepad and more than six months on another. I got the clue checking the log file and noticed the date were wrong
  4. Yes I have injected the network driver into the boot image. I think I have found the problem: The BIOS date on the Elitepads are wrong. I now have tried to change to current date on two tablets and afterwards the task sequence runs. But now my question are: Is there anyway to cope for this? Because when we buy a new ElitePad we will deploy Win8Enterprise to it ASAP without ever checking the BIOS date. Can I change some settings on the SCCM to ignore the date? regards nimmer
  5. Well If I knew, then I might be able to solve my problems :S I now have made a 2012 DP and tried to use this as my DP/PXE - but it still reboots after preparing network connections.... regards nimmer
  6. Yes I have injected the drivers into the x86 bootimage I just read through the thread where you deployment guide are and noticed the following from one of your answers: My DP/PXE server is on a 2008R2 - could this cause the problem? regards nimmer
  7. Hi Rocket, I don't use the x64 drivers - it's just the name of the pack on HP's site. regards nimmer
  8. Hi, I'm trying to deploy Windows 8 Enterprise 32-bit to our HP ElitePad 900. I have both read the HP Whitepaper and read a guide here on this site, but I'm running into some problems: If I import all the drivers from the HP Client WinPE 4.0 x86 and x64 Driver Pack to my boot image and start the PXE boot, it stops with a failure concerning the IASTOR.SYS - then I remove all the Intel SATA drivers from the boot image and it continues, starts the WinPE environment, but the reboots after the "preparing network connections" - as if it doesn't contains the correct LAN drivers? The weird things is that I have succesfully (well almost) deployed to 2 Elitepads without this problem - can anyone help? Could there be something wrong with the tablet? regards nimmer
  9. Yes I'm sure the KB update gets applied and installed correctly before I try to install the BIOS update with the FDSetup.exe. The FDSetup keeps failing with an error 1602. But then I tried running the setup.exe from the Package subfolder, and then all the drivers gets installed.?? nimmer
  10. Hi, I tried using you excellent guide to deploy Windows 8 Enterprise to one of our Elitepads, but it fails when applying the firmware update package with an error 1602. I then tried applying the Firmware package manual, but i still get an error 1602 - anyone knows how to fix this? nimmer
  11. I'm using Windows 7 professional cause I thought that Enterprise would be overkill for my users, but maybe it's just me not understanding the difference between the 2 versions. I'm about to deploy WIn7 to about 200 computers. Do you think I just should use the Enterprise edition instead and then the dialog box will not appear? Kim
  12. Yes I am deploying Win7 with SCCM. Where do I configure the timezone in the task sequence? I have set the default timezone in the "Apply Windows settings", but it still pops up asking for the timezone during the deployment. Kim
  13. Hi, I'm having a problem when deploying my Windows 7 Pro image to my computers. I have successfully build and captured a Windows 7 Pro image on my virtual machine. Also deployed the image with success. Now I'm trying to deploy this image to a real computer and it works fine except for the small detail, that during the deployment Windows 7 pops up the following dialog box: and the deployment stops until I have selected whatever timezone I need. This dialog box does not appear when deploying the image to a virtual machine. How can I avoid this? TIA nimmer
