How can I configure client settings and install the ConfigMgr client agent in System Center Configuration Manager Current Branch

Recommended Posts

Quote

Thanks for the guides.

I however, have a mixed hierarchy installation of both SCCM 2012 and SCCM 1606 CB; I am having difficulties with client push installation, the client agent does not install successfully as I see on the ccmsetup log, it seems trying to be pushed from the 2012 primary site. It downloads the old 2012 client which I did not push.

Could you advise as to what could be done in this instance.

Thank you

First of all thanks for these great guides

I'm hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction

we have 2 locations I have setup our largest location following your guide and have setup our second location as a second site

I have setup 2 boundary groups one for each location based on the IP address range 10.10.8.0/23 for the primary site and 10.10.11.0/24 for the secondary location

now I'm having issues with installing the SCCM Client on the second site (the primary site installs fine) its throwing out the following errors

Googling, points me to a site boundary issue but I don't see any issues with my site boundaries

maybe you can point me in the right direction

Thanks in advance

Hi, Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm encountering the same issue but haven't been able to find a fix.

Thanks laxiaq!

I was getting Error 0x80070643 on the client machine as well. I'm using VMware Workstation 14 Pro with NAT for Internet access.

Went back to

removed NewYork in SCCM Boundary Group. Created a site of MyCity and included my VMware NAT network 192.168.221.0/24 in Active Directory Sites and Services. Configured a boundary that included my VMware NAT network 192.168.221.0/24 with MYcity name instead of NewYork. After that, the client agent was able to install on the client device.
