"Windows could not parse or process the unattend answer file for pass [specialize].

Recommended Posts

Hi Team,

Today i have downloaded new Windows 10 (1607) build Iso image from Volume license and created a new TS.

during the TS i am getting error msg saying that,

"Windows could not parse or process the unattend answer file for pass [specialize]. The settings specified in the answer file cannot be applied. The error was detected while processing settings for omponent [Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup]".

i have not customized the task sequence.

i have gone through the logs but i couldn't find any issues over there and i tried manual installation using same iso file and it is installing without any issues.

Regards,

Sant

you can press left shift and f10 does that help, if not grab the logs after the failure

the unattend.xml file location varies depending on what part of the deployment process you are in, but in general look in C:\Windows\Panther\
