xerxes2985 2 Report post Posted February 7 Good morning, These errors have been occurring continually for the past two days. I've been using the solution since the box has been online (set to 3200000 per https://www.enhansoft.com/blog/how-to-increase-the-maximum-file-size-of-management-information-files-mif ). Also, unsure if it's related, but my collections for applications aren't updating. Inventory Data Loader failed to process the file C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\auth\dataldr.box\Process\HWGS6LG4.MIF because it is larger than the defined maximum allowable size of 3200000. Solution: Increase the maximum allowable size, which is defined in the registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Components\SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER\Max MIF Size (the default is 5 MB), and wait for Inventory Data Loader to retry the operation. Any suggestions?
GarthMJ 119 Report post Posted February 7 Did you look to see how big that mif file is? Did you restart the smsexec service after editing the regkye?
xerxes2985 2 Report post Posted February 7 (edited) Looking at those moved to "BADMIFS" - there are a a few that are 49,982 kb, 49,039 kb, 48,851 kb.. But most are about 2-3 megabytes under the 50 meg limit. As for restarting the smsexec service, I did. Edited February 7 by xerxes2985 added comment regarding restarting service.
