Overnight, the Admin Console would stop responding on the local server. Reboots resolved it until the next day. I noticed when using WBEMTEST that I was getting memory errors when it occurred. Increased Virtual Memory and it took longer to fail. Suspecting a memory leak, I identified the PID of the WMI SVCHOST and saw it chomping away on half a gig.
Problem solved! Posting here since I didn't see it mentioned in the guides. Not sure how others were avoiding this hole. I have green check marks everywhere and a happy console.

A bit of poking found this hot fix: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958124
