Branch office clients not detecting Windows Updates from their local distribution point
By RealRider,
I have SCCM 1706 in my company headquarters, and I have distribution points in my branch offices. The computers in my headquarters are able to detect, download and install Windows updates from the local DP, but none of the branch office clients are able to detect any of the updates even though the updates are distributed to all the DPs. I was able to deploy applications to those DPs and the branch office clients were able to install the apps from those DPs, but I don't know why it doesn't work
Group Policy Configurations for SCCM Software Updates
By Nate2003,
I'm close to transitioning over our organization to having SCCM manage software updates.
I hope someone could say what are the proper "Windows Update" policies that should be set or modified for SCCM software updates to function correctly.
Looking for the recommend settings for the new semi-annual release for Windows 10 servicing. Still have some remaining Windows 7 PCs on network.
Thanks!
Troubleshooting SMS Site Server
By CCampbell,
So, I had a working SCCM server for about 3 years and somehow managed to completely break it within the past month. I'm working on fixing the errors I'm finding in logs bit by bit.
As of right now, in my SiteComp.log I'm getting a few curious errors. From what I've gathered, the Sitecomp.log has information pertaining to the SMS_Notification_Manager, SMS_WSUS_Control_Manager, SMS_WSUS_Sync_Manager and SMS_Site_Component_Manager all of which are in critical state on my server. I've tried d

How can I enable co-management in System Center Configuration Manager
By anyweb,
Introduction
Microsoft has just released System Center Configuration Manager Technical Preview 1709, and that Technical Preview release allows you to configure co-management. Microsoft announced co-management at Microsoft Ignite (September 2017) and now with this release you can begin testing that scenario (however you still need the yet to be released Windows 10 Fall creators update edition, aka Windows 10 version 1709), so for now you'll need to test with a Windows Insider preview release

Client installs but doesn't set site code
By ATeamM,
I get my client to install but it's not setting a site code. The client has installed ok on most servers and on one client machine out of 200.
Boundries are configured, schema is extended, and I have permissions set in AD for the SCCM server. All these clients were apart of a different sitecode with a different server. That server had corrupt OS files the Microsoft couldn't fix and told me to reinstall the server with a new server name, sitecode, and IP.
On my machine I have run the cc
Merging 2 SCCM hierarchies
By hooligan88,
Hi Experts,
We are currently implementing SCCM Current Branch 1702 afresh for one of our customers replacing BMC Marimba, and it was only a week back that we were informed about another existing installation of SCCM in one of the regions. They are using SCCM 2012 SP2.for managing patching for both server and desktop endpoints, with one Primary site and 8 distribution points. Now in our current implementation, we are looking to manage approximately 10000 endpoints and 1500 servers via a standa
