  1. Same issue with one client, but the "solution" was nowhere near. These values were already there! Still see in log: Failed to get SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware\Real-Time Protection\DisableIntrusionPreventionSystem even the key exists! And the end of log states: Begin to send client health status report Successfully sent client health status as a state message. Yet still "No Results" in client health edit: As it turned out, while trying to fix another issue, I deleted clientstate.dat Without this file the whole system breaks (it never gets re-created) Copied the file from another machine & hardware scan worked & it instantly reported Pass
  2. It is the exactly same name in every environment - computername\IIS_IUSRS But I gave up on Multicast, as it was WAY too slow, even with single client
  3. Been through this script, have long thread going on MS forums, with only a workaround by myself. Seems really like nobody knows...
  4. Setup another SCCM server, having exactly the same errors with MP This time it was error in mpcontrol.log Waiting for SerializedKey registry value to be updated by MP Certificate Maintenance Which Google returns one good hit for! How much MORE weird this can get? Seb
  5. Re-assignment does not work, but if I uninstall & re-install client, it works fine ccmsetup.exe /mp:new_server /logon SMSSITECODE=new_site FSP=new_server CCMDEBUGLOGGING=1 CCMLOGLEVEL=0 CCMLOGMAXSIZE=52488000 CCMLOGMAXHISTORY=5 CCMHTTPSSTATE=31 SMSCACHEFLAGS=PERCENTDISKSPACE;NTFSONLY SMSCACHESIZE=15 so why it is not "easily" possible to just re-assign existing client?
  6. Migrated SCCM 2012 R2 to new hardware, with new site ID (so I have 2 SCCM setup running concurrently till I retire old server) Existing clients (testing on few) do NOT re-register with new site I can change the site code in client properties, but in ClientIDManagerStartup.log I get: RegTask: Failed to refresh MP. Error: 0x8000ffff Anybody any idea how to re-register the client? Client still "thinks" that MP is still the old one Site Code is BG1; Management Point is https://old_server.domain.local; MP HTTPS enabled = 1 where BG1 is new site, but MP points still to the old server.
  7. It seems that the wim is buggered. Re-capture it properly Failed to open "Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" (0x80070002). ApplyOperatingSystem 28/04/2016 19:50:29 1768 (0x06E8) Check that you actually have the key in whatever you capture the image
  8. Well, I just used this tool - ConfigMgr Content Source Update Tool 1.0.0 from NickolajA Job done in few seconds Seb
  9. The fix is for ADK, I believe SCCM version does NOT matter
  10. Your call, but captured image deployment is definitely the only sensible way. Everybody has some "base", so whatever applications you consider as base, can already be included in captured image (being it Office, various runtimes etc) As can be any required tweaks to ie default profile For TS there is no difference if it applies install.wim or mycapturedbootdrive.wim As you your problem, stick Pause step just before offending application: Run Command Line with this command: cmd /c start "cmd" /wait cmd and at that point run the command by hand (just to see that it works at all) Only way to test really
  11. Tried one from Coretech - does nothing Tried this one - does nothing Tried this one - same result I believe in 2012 R2 drivers info is not stored in just a table The complete “Driver Source” (including driver file name) is not a simple field within any of the SCCM tables. As it turns out, driver information is embedded within an XML field called SDMPackageDigest that itself is part of the CL_ConfigurationItems table. as per this Also read SQL Server Views in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager and there is nothing relating to just Drivers (as opposed to Drive Package) Thanks Seb
  12. Wow, deploying install.wim? That is some long way round way of doing it... (but it is your choice!)
  13. This one is available for some time now. Just got to apply it, only to find that ADK 1511 still has error in copype.cmd ERROR: The following processor architecture was not found: amd64 Same since Win 8.1, maybe time to fix it 3 years later...
  14. I made few changes to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WDSServer\Providers\WDSMC\Protocol ApBlockSizeV4 = 1385 TpMulticastTTL = 5 TpMaxBandwidth = 10 and 13 Gb is now 25 min (still way too long) But that comes from Hyper-V VM, so there might be some extra settings required elsewhere (anybody knows?) Seb
  15. I can not get boot images (some, some did migrate OK) migrated (and because of this TS also do NOT get migrated) Error is: Configuration Manager Provider error details: Description = Failed to insert OSD binaries into the WIM file ADK 1511 with Fix, MDT on both source & destination Seb edit: can do that by hand, boot images can be re-created, not a big deal
  16. After weeks of poking around, it might have been the issue of rights Added computername\IIS_IUSRS to NTFS permissions of ?:\SCCMContentLib & it seems that mcsexec.log shows ========== OpenSession Found existing Namespace[0]=https://sccmserver.domain.local/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/SP1000B7 Type=1 Loading namespace: https://sccmserver.domain.local/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/SP1000B7 Got path: S:\SCCMContentLib\DataLib\SP1000B7.10 Got UNC path: https:\\sccmserver.domain.local\SMS_DP_SMSPKG$\SP1000B7 Got key: Got algoID: 0x6603 Got packageID: SP1000B7 Adding package namespace: https://sccmserver.domain.local/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/SP1000B7 ========== OpenSession -- exit code: 0x0 ========== HashAndSignBuffer Found package https://sccmserver.domain.local/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/SP1000B7 Package files exist for: S:\SCCMContentLib\DataLib\SP1000B7.10 Adding package namespace: https://sccmserver.domain.local/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/SP1000B7 Found existing Namespace[0]=https://sccmserver.domain.local/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/SP1000B7 Type=1 ========== HealthCheck ffffffff-ffff-ffff-ffff-ffffffffffff Got MCS Certificates Health check was succesful ========== HashAndSignBuffer But the speed of transfer of the .wim from https://sccmserver.domain.local/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/SP1000B7 is beyond tragic! It was way faster to pull the image from DP directly Any idea why it is so slow? Unicast 3 PCs download 13Gb wim takes ~ 10 min, same image over multicast takes 90 min with default values on 1Gb switched network Seb
  17. You have no image deployment TS? Easier to start from clean, then try to fix something broken
  18. While it might be an "exciting" feature, why bother? You do it once (to start with), why not use MDT with Hyper-V? Simple, easy, works
  19. Business PCs are NOT home enthusiast PC. Once you have working drivers (that do what they need to do, and do it well), there is really NO NEED to keep tweaking & updating them. If you re-image workstations then you can update drivers in SCCM (that will be used in new deployment) But really there is no need to update constantly something that already works. If it ain't broken...
  20. If you replace manually then it will NOT work, as you will get hash mismatch (hashes are stored in inf, inside signed .cab) Been there, tried that, does not work Seb
  21. Had to uninstall PXE, MCS Then uninstall MP Rebooted Reinstalled MP Reconfigured PXE, MCS Got 500.19 error accessing MP Followed https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/942055 by adding computername\IIS_IUSRS to C:\Program Files\SMS_CCM\SMS_MP Last post here Eventually started working again (200) How FLAKY IIS is!!! Unimaginable to base management solution on something that can break with lightest gust of wind...
