  1. Wow. I've never come across that issue myself, but a few suggestions is why not create an Administrator account using NET USER USERNAME PASS command? This, of course, would need to be done offline in WinPE (or similar) mode.
  2. You need to have IIS (with ASP.net/BITS/WebDav support) in Win2K3. If you have IIS installed then go to a command prompt and run aspnet_regiis.exe /i to register ASP.NET in IIS.
  3. Got it. Unfortunately, I'm not. I'm only running SCCM. Oh well.
  4. Hey anyweb... What version of SCCM are you running? I am on R2 and I do not have the "create boot image using microsoft deployment" step for creating the boot image.

    Help me anyweb

Is the Network Access Account setup in your site properties? If so, what is the name of the account (Administrator)?
  6. On a side note ... I did change from Driver Package to Apply Driver and chose Install All Compatable Drivers in the TS and I received a new error message: Windows Package Manager Operation failed with 0x80070002 System cannot find the file specified. If I OK'ed the box, the OSD would continue and then reboot. Once rebooted, I was given a boot manager stop error (0x00000001).
  7. Network access account has been verified and is not locked.
  8. Trying to deploy Win7 and am getting the following error after the TS kicks off. Deployment then pauses and this is what is extracted from the smsts.log. Failed to connect to "\\CONFIGMGRR2.SYSTEMCENTER.COM\SMSPKGD$\SMS000B7". Invalid username or password. Failed to connect to the share \\CONFIGMGRR2.SYSTEMCENTER.COM\SMSPKGD$\007000B7\ with default account The execution of the group (Install Operating System) has failed and the execution has been aborted. An action failed. Operation aborted (Error: 80004004; Source: Windows) Failed to run the last action: Apply Driver Package. Execution of task sequence failed. The system cannot find the file specified. (Error: 80070002; Source: Windows) After TS halts, I get the Failed to connect to "\\CONFIGMGRR2.SYSTEMCENTER.COM\SMSPKGD$\SMS000B7". Invalid username or password. ApplyOperatingSystem" error along with "Package manager failed with return code 2" and "The execution of the group (Install Operating System) has failed and the execution has been aborted. An action failed. Operation aborted (Error: 80004004; Source: Windows)". I have built a new OS WIM with the same results.
  9. Any, thanks for your help in this. The issue has been resolved. Resolution: Jason Sandys (MS MVP) recommended that I confirm the network switch port was set to enable (STP) port fast... Once the change was made, everything worked fine again.

  11. Vista network drivers have been added to the wim and DP has been updated. Boot media works and PXE booting does not.
  12. Update: Booting from media with new WinPE (with updated network drivers) works fine. PXE booting is the one having issues unless I ipconfig /renew.
  13. Ok. I have a boot image (WinPE_x86.wim) which I setup for OSD. Machine boots from PXE and PE starts to load. Then all of a sudden before any advertisements are shown, the machine loops and reboots. I have been able to determine the PE is not picking up an IP unless I run ipconfig /renew from command line. I have the correct network drivers so Im trying to figure out why the TS doesn't run unless I ipconfig /renew.
