  2. Hey Everyone, When I've run in to hitches in the past this has been a great place to find information related to the problems I've experienced, so I'm hoping someone can help me out with the problem I'm currently having. I've been working on getting Operating System Deployment functioning on the newly-implemented SCCM server in my organization by following the instructions in Anyweb's guide. However I'm encountering an issue at the PXE boot portion of this. The SCCM 2012 server is virtualized, but is not using infiniband. The boot images have been successfully distributed, are check
  3. Hello, Recently I upgraded the sccm console/os to 2012 r2 (from 2012) and moved its database to the same server. Site/Components status are all green now and seems to be running normally. Now, I can no longer boot a computer from the network, it fails at PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout. this is what I get in SMSPXE.log: Client lookup reply: <ClientIDReply><Identification Unknown="0" ItemKey="0" ServerName=""><Machine><ClientID/><NetbiosName/></Machine></Identification></ClientIDReply> SMSPXE 9/11/2014 8:57:02 AM 4120 (0x1018) 00:50:56:8
  4. Hi Every time I set up a new virtual wds server 2012 the following happens: Everything works perfectly until I restart my server. After the server's first reboot, clients behave as follows: When trying to pxe boot a client, it loads and launches wdsbnp.com 5 times: Downloaded WDSNBP from... WDSNBP started using DHCP referral. Contacting server... Architecture... Contacting server... TFTP download: boot\x86\wdsnbp.com Downloaded WDSNBP from ... Architecture... Contacting Server... TFTP download: boot\x86\wdsnbp.com Then it goes on 4 times in a row: "TFTP Download: Boot\x86\wdsnb
  5. Hello there! First i would like to thank you for the help I already got from you guys, even before i posted anything on here. This forum is great! I got a lot of useful information just from reading topics over here. But i'm still struggling... My objective is to get a WDS-server up and running so we can stop using our ghost server for reimaging our clients. I have encountered a number of problems of which I was able to resolve most by searching the web (for example that the client doesn't get an ip-address before trying to PXE-boot). But now I get following messages and I have no clue
  6. I started to get a TFTP time out error imaging PCs here is the log from the server below. Could someone give me some pointers on what to look for? I have removed the PXE from Dist point and rebooted and reinstalled PXE on the dist point. I have checked and recreated a new boot image and check the box to distrubute the boot image. and nothing. I checked my DHCP for option settings are all correct. 066 Boot Server Host Name Standard 067 Bootfile Name Standard SMSBoot\x86\wdsnbp.com SMSPXE.log Start: Client boot action reply: <ClientIDReply><Ide
  7. I'm trying to troubleshoot one of my labs which is having all sorts of PXE issues. I'm comparing it to my other lab that i have functioning. In some of the articles i'm reading, they suggest that i TFTP from command line to test if its working. Well, it isn't in either case and i'm beginning to wonder if it is supposed to and if this troubleshooting step is applicable/viable. Could someone confirm if this is working in their SCCM 2012 setup? Basically what i'm doing is running this command from my DC for example to my SCCM server (distribution point). tfpt -i 192.168.x.x GET \smsb
