SCCM Client not approved

Question

Hi Guys,

I also having same problem in my office over 700 clients need to install sccm client agent.

i worked based on anyweb topics in installing SCCM 2007 , i did all the configurations based on the 3 parts he explained in the section setup sccm 2007 , now im in a process of installing the sccm client on an xp computer using push installation but its not installing

i tried to check if there are any icons created in contol panel on the client side but nothing is there , ichecked if there is any folder to fetch the logs on the client side under C:\WINDOWS\system32\ccmsetup but there isnt any folder created !!!

i checked C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs\ccm.log on the sccm server and this is what i found : ( attached )

how can i successfully push to all my clients the sccm agent as we have here over 700 clients and ofcourse we ready to do the manual installation.

any help would be highly appreciated. Find the Logs & error attachment file.

Please provide me resolution as earlier possible.ccm.logpost-3138-12512736074833_thumb.jpg

Hello!

Have you checked that your pcs are discovered in SCCM ?

Have you activated the different discovery method ?

Is the Windows Firewall activated on your clients ? If yes, have you configured it to allow SCCM to work correctly ?

Cheers,

Jean

indeed, and the guide actually points that out too

for Accounts, set the account to SMSadmin

To successfully install the Configuration Manager 2007 client, the Windows user account used must have administrative rights on the destination computer. If the install fails with all accounts in the list then the installation will be attempted using the computer account from the Configuration Manager 2007 site server.

i've now re-worded it to say 'local administrative' to make it clearer and included a link back to here so others can see what happens

cheers

Are you able to ping these machines (from SMS server)?

Are all computers member of the same domain?

Have you specified a local admin account that is member of the local admin group on all computers?

Are all your subnets within boundries of your SCCM Site?

Please be sure to install the client using ccmsetup.exe but the push install method should work fine.

I've installed my home lab using all the guides provided by anyweb and it worked without any problem.

You have to be very careful and follow the guide carefully.

Keep up as SCCM is not an easy product to learn.

Jean
