  2. Quick question if we are already running Windows Updates for Business via GPO's do we need to install the WSUS? I see that it only throws a warning but unsure if it will mess up anything else if we don't install the WSUS role.
  3. #$Parms = " /IAcceptLicenseTerms True /Quiet /Norestart /Log SQLServerReportingServiceslog.txt" #$Prms = $Parms.Split(" ") #& "$filepath" $Prms | Out-Null #Write-Host "done!" -ForegroundColor Green After executing this line.. it shows done.. but installation is not done for SSRS.. Any help please
  4. I would also like to know how to do this during OSD. If I deploy this using GPO the standard users are prompted to enable UAC to run any built in app, like calculator.
  5. MDT uses USMT problems MDT uses USMT to have the following problems 1.Use the USMT offline migration mode under PXE to back up the data in the domain user. After the system is refreshed, the domain user's data files will not be restored. This is my rules setting: USMTOfflineMigration=True DoNotFormatAndPartition=Yes ScanStateArgs=/v:5 /o /c LoadStateArgs=/v:5 /c /lac UserDataLocation=Network UDShare=\\\test UDDir=%OSDComputerName% USMTMigFiles001=MigApp.xml USMTMigFiles002=MigUser.xml 2.Using USMT offline mode under PXE Can I migrate data to a USB device and then refresh the system and then migrate back from the USB device?

  7. Hi, I am trying to build and capture image in VM for Windows 10 1903 but impossible to install applications, packages work well I can see this in TransfertService.log: bits job error 0x80200010 When I add a network card with internet access, all works well. It's he goal to not have internet connection during capture process. Same behavior when i image a computer, no access to internet, no way to download application content Once TS terminated, i need to connect the VM to internet in order to install applications All are in CB GĂ©rard
  8. I have Endpoint Protection and Defender configured with SCCM. Most clients report correctly but there are some that don't update virus definitions and/or don't report on when the last time they ran a full scan was. What logs should I look at to troubleshoot this?
  9. I'm sure it matters, but I'm running SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 with the latest ADK for 1903. @anyweb is the exact scenario different than normal? What's weird that is different from your "exact scenario" . Is it the "Capture Name" I'm kind of surprised that a wipe and reload is out of the ordinary for a SCCM OS push install.
  10. That is a good idea but my problem is that they travel a lot and are intermittently online in hotels, etc. Actually I did notice that mine completed when on WiFi but in the SCCM reports shows a failure.
  11. The "Install an existing image package" task sequence option pretty much does that in that order. I would manage the subnets with SCCM then push the SCCM client to the W7 machines. Once they have inventoried the computer name will be in SCCM then you can deploy the task sequence to them. Obviously import the drivers for the hardware and test first! Don't see why you would get upgrade licence problems on a wipe n load.
  12. I am using two server for sccm and db separately.. that's the reason I might be missing some of the components.. I am checking it .. Always need your guidance please.. I am checking the ConfigMgrPrereq log file here the sql server computer pointing to the same server of sccm.. I want to change it to different server whre DB is running.. Please help
  13. No, I am simply following and modifying specific to need.. let me double check the flow if any I missed. Always thanks for your prompt response and help..
  14. Thanks for your response ... I just followed.. let me check service account or OU script one more time.. is that script will help right? or any other place have to check for the administrator related.. please guide
  15. I haven't tested that exact scenario so can't guarantee this will work but you could try this approach and see what happens https://www.niallbrady.com/2016/05/17/introducing-the-windows-10-uefi-bitlocker-frontend-for-system-center-configuration-manager-current-branch/
  16. hi then you are not following this guide. The error message above clearly tells you what to do to solve the problem. Add the site server's machine account to the local administrators group on the SQL server computer.
  17. I have inherited a system where there are 50+ workstations that are running Windows 7 Ultimate OEM 32Bit. I want to push out a Task Sequence that performs the following; Captures the PC Name Reboots the PC Goes into WinPE Installs Windows 10 Enterprise Joins the domain All user docs are redirected to the servers so I do not need to save the users settings I have tried to create numerous tasks sequences but always running into can't upgrade 32-64 bit, OEM license won't allow you to run an upgrade.... I just want to Wipe and Replace but don't want to walk to each workstations. Can someone please assist in pointing me in the correct direction of a guide, Step-By-Step (which this site is great for) or some guidance? Thank You
  18. You can execute Netstat -e -s command displays Ethernet statistics. You can also execute Get-NetAdapterStatistics powershell command to gather network adapter statistics. It provides a quick overview of the sent and received packets.

  20. Here it seems that the clean installation was not successfull, Make sure you boot the system through bootable ISO OS you created through the MCT and then click on custom install which would take you the Partition screen, Select the Drive(Advance Option) and delete all the partitions and you will see only unallocated space, then select and install the OS on the same, That will clean up everything. Please let us know if taht works for you Regards, Joe Apps4Rent
  21. Microsoft SCCM is an exemplary tool for managing Microsoft applications. But handling third-party applications isn't yet its game. Join our free webinar with Anoop C. Nair, Microsoft MVP, to learn why patching third-party applications is essential and how it can be streamlined in SCCM. 22. I blogged about the subject some time ago, although my blog post was focused on workgroup computers, take a look it might give you some ideas
  23. hi Harley, that line is basically showing you that you can add Additional Attributes via PowerShell, you just need to define them, try it in a lab first and you'll see they get set correctly, then adjust for production use and do the same thing good luck ! cheers niall as regards part 8, that's all about time and things, right now i focus on work and 'releases' from Microsoft, when they release something that i should blog about, i do (for example the MBAM stuff in TP1909)
