  1. I am trying to setup internet based clients. The clients look like they are able to talk to the server but they are not able to download any packages.I get the following errors. What should I check? ccmmessaging.log [CCMHTTP] ERROR: URL=https://ibcm.server.com/ccm_system_windowsauth/request, Port=443, Options=448, Code=0, Text=CCM_E_BAD_HTTP_STATUS_CODE CcmMessaging 1/1/2016 11:36:30 AM 66112 (0x10240) Raising event: instance of CCM_CcmHttp_Status { ClientID = "GUID:4C30AECA-0D7E-4A95-ABDE-F36A42E4B204"; DateTime = "20160101163630.118000+000"; HostName = "ibcm.server.com"; HRESULT = "0x87d0027e"; ProcessID = 66336; StatusCode = 408; ThreadID = 66112; }; CcmMessaging 1/1/2016 11:36:30 AM 66112 (0x10240) Successfully sent location services HTTPS failure message. 2. It will be a couple months until I get all of the 2007 clients migrated over. I have about 50 machines in sccm currently. I have about 6000 more left to go.
  3. Doh. So how can I deploy the new version while still running the old version?
  4. This is what I was using: ccmsetup.exe SMSSITECODE=xyz FSP=servername This is what I have just changed it to: ccmsetup.exe MP=servername SMSSITECODE=xyz FSP=servername I don't have an overlapping boundary but the same ad site is configured in 2007 and 2012.
  5. I am specifying site code but not MP. Do I need to do anything with the clients I have already rolled out? What happens if I add another MP?
  6. AD has already been extended. I do not currently specify the management point as a parameter. I guessing I need to?
  7. I am deploying the 2012 clients using 2007. They worked fine at first but now they all seem to be choosing the 2007 primary server as their MP.
  8. I have just started migrating from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 and have deployed about 30 clients for a pilot. After troubleshooting why some machines are not installing patches I noticed they are choosing the old SCCM 2007 management point. Can someone explain why this is and how I can fix it?
  9. Can someone help me with a report that shows the individual patch sizes for a deployment? I can't seem to find any view that shows size. Thanks.
  10. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to host my primary SCCM sevver in the Amazon cloud service? All of my sites are connected via an MPLS.
  11. Would there be any difference in performance if the SQL server was remote as apposed to local? Would it matter if SQL was installed on the same local drive as the OS and SCCM if they are all on the same raid array?
  12. Can anyone share some pros and cons on having SQL server installed on the same server as the SCCM primary site or on a dedicated server. I'm considering a dedicated server because then our SQL team will be responsible for that server and the database. How much ram would I require for 5000 users if I was to install it on the same server?
  13. I'm looking for options to get rid of some servers and was thinking of using branchcache and getting the WAN speeds increased. What kind of third party options for branchcache are there?
  14. I'm planning an upgrade to sccm 2012. I have multiple sites through out the globe. Most do not have very fast connections. Would I be able to use a cloud DP using Azure and point these clients to that DP? i thought I read somewhere that clients can not download windows updates from Azure,is that true? What functions be available from Azure? Another option I was thinking of at some of these smaller sites was Branch cache. Would I have to designate one client as a branch cache or does every client become a branch cache?
  15. We have an existing SCCM 2012 primary site, no CAS. We just bought another company with their own existing primary site. Is there a way to add that site to our existing site without having to reinstall all of the clients? Can we make it a secondary site?
