how to you append to the file? I have created another copy of the file and added the new part to the end of the file and saved it. When I try to overwrite the existing configuration.mof, it does not allow me to do so.

Apologies if this is in the incorrect section. Has anybody found a fix for the Creators Update and shut down option going missing from the Start Menu after adding the machine to the domain? If so, please can you assist me with he changes you made, or is this still a problem with Microsoft? I also see that Fall Creators Update has the same problem.

Hi, I need some info about automated reports and what to find out if what I want below id possible to setup with SCCM. I have setup a subscription for automated reports to be mailed out for a group of users every week for my Windows update compliance status. Basically it is the "Compliance 1 - Overall compliance" report. My Windows updates are deployed every month and I create a new deployment group each month. Is it possible to setup the same report to automatically use the the newest group that was created when mailing out the report? Hope this makes sense

Hi awesome posts as each and everyone one of yours are. I am looking at upgrading mu current Server 2012 R2, SQL 2012, CM 2012 1702 environment to Server and SQL 2016. I am looking at installing a complete new server with and setting everything up from scratch. I know with my Applications/Packages/Drivers/TS's, etc, they will need to be redistributed. Will my clients need to be re-discovered and agents re-installed. I will use the same site code, but different server name and IP.

I actually tried my TS without the "Setup Windows and Configuration Manager step", and I got the same result and Office still didn't install, as I thought that would be the same as installing a work group computer. I fill try to add the FQDN of the MP to see if that will make a difference.

Hi, nothing strange in my logs. Is it possible that I need to change the order in my TS? Is your TS order something like this or is it different?

I tried my TS but Office still did not apply. My TS just completed as normal and did not fail. When I logged in to my imaged machine however, Office was not deployed. any other ideas to get it to apply during my TS?

Thank you Sir, I've recreated my XML and changed the detection from registry to MSI code and the standard deployment works with no failed message. I am going to test it on my TS now and feedback later

Hi, I am having a problem with my Office 365 ProPlus deployment on SCCM. If I deploy it via an application, it does deploy to the device and installs and there are no issues. However, if i look at my software center, it says that it failed. How can I get that failed to change as this will cause a problem with my users. Also, is it possible to have it install completely silently without the user seeing anything. I then tried to add it my my Task Sequence, but it does not install. How can I get Office 365 to be included in my TS? My TS goes through fine and installs everything else fine except. Hi thank you. Our network engineer made a change to the firewall (he didn't want to say what he did). FEP seems to be updating on most of my clients now. I still have some clients that are showing Inactive though. I will give it some time to see if the status changes on them. I have another questions though. When i look at the monitoring, it shows me that it failed for those clients, but if i look at Forefront, they have been updated to the latest definition.

Hi, I have a very strange problem. I have multiple collections for servers and workstations at different sites. I have the same Automatic Deployment Rule setup, and then I have a separate deployment for each collection. My updates are deploying to all but one of my sites. I have setup my new DP. I have followed all the relevant procedures - eg IIS, WDS Roles, added DP from console, setup my boundary groups, etc. My clients are visible in the console but the are only show as None for Computer Type, and No for client. The site is the the correct site code. The client activity is blank. On the SCCM client on each of the machines, the show client is like this: what I have so fat is to re-do my boundary groups, redo my DP and MP. There is still no luck. the ccmsetup file keeps having me this error and all the fixes on this site for this error haven't helped me. Failed to send HTTP request. Also I have tested the link from the client to to open these sites and they work. http://fqdn of site server/SMS_MP/.sms_aut?mplist Could a firewall issue cause this problem for the certificate? When one of the clients from this site went to another branch, the client installed automatically on the machine and was able to connect to that branch SCCM DP. I compared all my server and boundary settings with my working one and all are the same. I think it maybe be a firewall problem. How can I test this theory to confirm or what can I ask the network tech to check? I have all these for the new SCCM DP Server. Is it correct to have so many certificates? All my other DPs that are working on have 1 certificate each that show up in the console

I have noticed over the last 3 months that all my updates to my Windows 2008 servers are failing. I have all my servers (both Windows 2012 and 2008 in one group). The 2012 updates are applied without issues. Just one of my 2008 servers is aplpying updates. The only difference is that this is Windows 2008 Ent and the others are R2 Standard. Any idea what I can look at to troubleshoot? Thanks in advance
