Is there a way to find the Computer Name and OU in a TS and then write it to the registry? I'm trying to install an application that depends on the OU of the computer (Software Library - Applications - <Application Name> - Deployment Types - Requirements) so that the correct language is installed. It won't install during OSD since the registry key that Configuration Manager look at isn't populated (HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy\State\Machine\Distinguished-Name). I want to populate it so that the software installs. Is there a way to find this info out and then write it to the registry?

I figured out how to make the usable space bigger, now I have another question. How do I have the default values for Regional Options and Language Options be blank and force the user to select a value before proceeding?

No, I still have this problem. It has something to do with the Requirements for the Deployment Type.

What is the difference between the steps "Enable BitLocker via script - Multi Language W7" and "Enable BitLocker W8" They both seem to work on W7... Also, should the MBAM client be installed before enabling bitlocker so that it doesn't store the keys in AD?

What is the difference between this HTA and The CM12 UEFI BitLocker Frontend HTA?

How do I make the usable space in the HTA bigger? I want to add a couple items and I am in no way an expert in HTML/CSS.

I'll post one in a bit. I'm running through the setup again. I heavily customized the front end so I very well may have commented out the name part. Where in the code does it set the name? I'll check to make sure it is still there.

Does it not take the computer name that you specify on the first screen and use that as the computer name? I keep getting prompted for the name after I run the HTA.

Thanks. A few more questions as I try to rework this for my environment. I currently have a Windows 7 WIM that has a bunch of languages installed (I.E. English, German, French, Spanish, etc). Since they are already installed, how do I enable selection of those instead of installing Offline Language Packs? How do I add OU selection to this? With the Bitlocker selection, are the encryption options using Diffuser?

I can't. They are applications and not packages.

Looking in the folder, the only packages are the ones for my OS install (my custom WIM, the deploy files, etc). I do have some software installs that are working and those files are in the ccmcache directory. They don't have any OU requirements though. I am trying to install the software during the Task Sequence with the "Install Default Applications" step.

Correct unless it get copied to a folder other than ccmcache.

The application never downloads to the client.

SMSTS.log doesn't have anything about the software except that it performed that step. It doesn't even list the software that was supposed to install.

I is an "application" I think it is the Deployment Type Requirements that are the issue. I have it so that it installs different options based on the OU that the computer is in although it should be fine since it appears that it is doing the software install step after the computer is joined to the domain...

They are msi based but it doesn't appear that they are even trying to run...

I sorta got it working. I had to run give computers permission to write the key in AD. Now I'm playing around with MBAM to see if I can get it working as well.

How do you have MDT enable Bitlocker? I check the boxes in the wizard but it doesn't seem to enable it. I can enable it manually after Windows is installed. Any suggestions to get it working?

Appenforce.log doesn't show anything related to those programs.

I finally have the OSD working for the basic stuff. I now want to install some applications. In the applications, I have different "Deployment Types" for each language I need. In the Deployment Type, I have a single "Requirement" based on computer OU. When I try to deploy it during OSD, it doesn't install. I can select it but it never installs. It doesn't appear to be in the CCMCache folder either. I have some software that doesn't have any "Requirements" and that software installs fine. I looked in the log files but don't know what I should be looking for. Can anyone give me some advice?

Thanks. It seemed to work. I have a few other questions though. Is there a way to get rid of the first screen (the one that asks for a password, NIC configuration, Proxy)? Is there a way to put logic in that will select the default OU, Language, Time Zone based on the IP address or the DP that is being used? How do I put the password for the user joining the domain in to the task sequence?

Are there any guides out there to show how to do this?
