  1. Try creating a new source folder, moving the contents to this new folder and then set this as source
  2. Hi One of the trainees has imported a number of new machines into the SCCM enviroment using 'Computer Association' as I do every day. The problem is they do not know were they imported them too. I cannot find the using a search and there are far to may collections to look in manually. Is there a query/report/script to trace these machines? I know they are in there somewhere as when I try to PXE boot the PXE reports they fail due to "no PXE advertisement assigned" can anyone help? thanks Keith
  3. NOW RESOLVED I removed all the WDS and PXE Point for about the 6th time, then put it all back on exactly the same way as I have done many times and this time it worked... Time for an upgrade to SCCM 2012 I think Thanks for the help anyway guys
  4. Hi yes I have created new WIM boot disks, but its WDS reporting this NOT SCCM, OSD is not taking over the PXE service from WDS
  5. Hi i am using SCCM 2007R3 on a 2008R2 Server All was working fine until yesterday I enabled Unicast for testing, this worked fine but slow, so I unticked the box again. This broke the WDS service some how. I could not get it to restart. I went through the procedure of removing WDS and PXE point etc, then rebooted and added these functions back, this took a few attempts as when reinstalled the WDS service would not restart. This needed to be reinstalled three times and rebooted about 6 times before this service was running again. Although the WDS service is running, I cannot get either WDS or PXE Point to respond to any requests. I have created new BOOT WIMs etc just in case but I keep getting "PXE-E53" errors, but the PXE is not passing the requests to the PXE[sccm] server To me [looking at the smspxe.log] the WDS is receiving the requests but the PXE is not getting them passed to it. This is due to the log saying "Warning: Matching Processor Architetcure Boot Image (0) not found" but this message is coming from WDS not PXE Everything looks to be configured as per before this problem but clearly something is not right please help I have attached the smspxe.log Keith
  6. Hi I am trying to deploy Windows 7 [and poss XP] to VMs running on eSXi. I have the VMWare drivers etc set up and have a dedicated TS and PXE boot image. The VM boots to the PXE server fine and also sees the image, so drivers are good. My issue is, that during the TS tesitng to find the packages it cannot see any, including the SCCM client install package.
  7. How many different boot images do people need on their systems? I have both HP and Fujitsu machines [amongst some others] if I inject the HP PXE drivers into the same boot image the Fujitsu machines use it will not boot the HPs, but if I inject the same drivers into a new boot image they will? I now seem to have 3 different boot images just for x64 [Windows 7]
  8. Hi Is there a limit to the number of drivers that can be injected into a boot.wim? If I try to inject more than 10 or so the system seems to crash, shows NO drivers in the PXE section andthen the console crashed. I then have to delete this boot.wim and create a new one thanks Keith
  9. Yes it shows on PXE boot rebuilding, this is good But if i deploy using a manditory TS when windows is running then it shows when the TS reboots the machine, I want this to be automated
  10. Hi Guys We are running OSD from SCCM 2007, sometimes we need to image using F12 PXE and sometimes we use a Manditory TS Now if passworded it needs this on both options is there a way to Password only the PXE boot and not password the manditory TS phase? cheers
  11. Hi I am having trouble getting the drivers for 3rd party graphics cards to install during the OSD. Its a Fujutsu E5730 Desktop with an nVidia nvs290 card I have tried auto apply, creating a driver package for the drivers etc but the OSD stops during sysprep phase as it cannot find the driver. Screen is locked at this point too [XP and Windows 7] I know the driver I have is the correct one as if I put the card in after the OS is deployed and update the driver from my source folder it works fine Help
  12. Hi The company have a second site that has a very old AD Functionailty. We need SCCM on this site Is there a minimum AD Functionality for 2012? i.e will it work on a pre 2000 functionality level AD ? thanks
  13. Have you got WSUS running? Have you put BOOT.WIM's onto DP's?
  14. SO, I cannot re-import the drivers that are already there, but only select add to driver package? To right click in them all would take a while and I would need to know exactly what drivers for each machine
  15. Hi Do a search on Google for SCCM Task Sequence's, there is plenty to read and they can do far more than the normal advertisements
  16. Hi Use a Task Sequence to combine the packages and advertise this to the machines
  17. At present I have two driver packages, one for XP the other for Windows 7 I want to change this to one for each make or model [not decided yet]. I know how to do this part with WMI etc what I cant do is get the existing drivers to show in the new driver packages. The drivers have already been imported as the message says but I thought these could be is more than one driver package? They are in the Windows 7 package for instance but dont seem to want to also show in the HP driver package is this normal? cheers
  18. Morning... I am still trying to achieve this, can anyone help in SCCM 2007?
  19. Hi Does this apply to SCCM 2007 also? thanks
  20. Hi We have users that cannot import unknown computers using "Computer Association", the cannot see the import menu's I have given the full rights in the "Computer Association" User Rights section but same thing What other rights do I need to assign? Thanks
  21. I have even 'Ripped' the current machine drivers and injected the NOC driver from here [as this seems to be different from those on the HP site] Still no luck I have now created new BOOT.WIM's to try getting this working, but even injecting every NOC driver I have in SCCM does not get this machine to PXE, I say that it does PXE to the SCCM image but I do not then get an IP and when pressing F8 there is no NIC
