Hello all, I hope someone can help me with this issue. We are using SCCM for managing workstations and servers and all worked so far with 1706 version for servers part (2003SP2 + bits2.5 ,2008R2 and 2012R2) My collegue have upgraded sccm 1706 to 1710 for having a new functionality for the workstations side. Since this upgrade I am not able to push sccm client on W2003SP2 servers (and yes, unfortunately we still have these systems which hosting critical applications) Pushing method: Only 2 files are copied (ccmsetup.exe and MobileClient.tcf) when I try to start it manually , the popup message "is not a valid Win32 application" appears. Manual method with older version 5.00.8498.1008: The process seems goes well but stay stuck at the client.msi install:failed during patch install CLP1031.msp SCCM pushing them from the last version: Windows Installer installed an update. Product Name: Configuration Manager Client. Product Version: 5.00.8577.1000. Question: Is it possible to install a old sccm client version which still work with 1710 and 2003SP2 ? Have you got any solution for me ? Thank you for your help and time, I am stuck with this issue and I am not a sccm expert. Kind Regards,
Our environment has some dedicated virtual machines acting as file servers only. The largest one still runs Server 2003, with three big virtual disk volumes. I'm beginning to deploy Server 2012 and one file-only server is working well, including file deduplication. I would hand-copy files from one server to the other, but sysadmins are a lazy lot and I wondered if I could just detach a volume from the 2003 server, attach it to the 2012 server, and enable 2012 deduplication on it. I would then recreate the shares on the 2012 server and hope that the file system permissions remained in tact; both servers are domain members. I'd also have to edit logon scripts and home folders to point to the new mappings; no big deal there, and I'd have to do that anyway. The underlying environment is vSphere 5.1, but I wouldn't expect the server VMs to behave differently if this were Hyper-V. --
Help with SCCM and Active Directory On same server. Well hello my name is Zaper and I'm from Israel First thing first: I never seen an SCCM in my life this is my first time and I got no idea how to use it. Now few years ago a guy that used to work here installed the SCCM in our Active Directory server so I have on the same server both SCCM 2007 and my active directory. (Windows server 2003). my manager came over and sad "well we got this something that supposed to work but no one have a clue how to use it so you do it". Now all I need to happen is I want to push a package that will be installed on certain clients in my active directory. When I had a new client to my AD it wont show on SCCM but! When I click: Connect to site data base > connect to site data base on this server > browse I see the new client I added to the AD. Please If I got no chance to make it work please let me know. Sorry for bad grammar Zaper.
