How can I set up and choose a multi option while task sequence
keywan replied to keywan's topic in Configuration Manager 2012
thanks for help and I will try that -
Hi Anyweb, After press F8, I have a valid ip address from DHCP and I can ping my sccm2012. But if ping the FQDN of my sccm2012 I dont get any answer. I cannot understand why I need to add network drivers to my boot image, if I have a valid ip address and I can ping my sccm2012 server. Is it DNS problem? I have a Linux DNS server and that is not in the domain and I cannot add in the domain. But my sccm2012 server is in the domain with an Windows DNS Server. Any Idea?

Hi all, I am trying to deploy windows 7 x64. Everythin seems to work fine. If I type my PXE Password in the Windows: "Welcome to Task Sequence Wizared". After type my PXE Password I get error message (0X80004005) an the machine reboot again. I checked the smsts.log file and found out follow red highlighted error : - unknown host (gethostbyname failed) TSPxe 22.10.2012 09:09:40 856 (0x0358) - sending with winhttp failed; 80072ee7 TSPxe 22.10.2012 09:09:40 856 (0x0358) - Failed to get information for MP: http://sccm2012.test.com. 80072ee7. TSPxe 22.10.2012 09:09:40 856 (0x0358) I have to mention I had problem with drivers. But I added new drivers to my boot image. Is it still drivers problem? I suggest it is DNS issue Thanks

I did press F8 and type "ipconfig" , it display "Windows IP Configuration". I did add drivers for my NIC into the boot image. If I try after adding drivers into boot image to re-distribute the boot image to the distribution points, it does not display a distribution points. I am going to my boot image-->right click and choose "Distribute Content" and I click on "Add" and choose "Distributions Points", it displayed nothing. Or do you mean I have to go to my boot image-->properties-->Content Location--Redistribute?? Could you give me a link how to add drivers into boot image? Is there on windows-noob.com? thanks for help

Hi anweb, Could you please help me to resolve my problem. When I perform a deployment via System Center Configuration Manager 2012 on a client PC(it is a physically Hardware), the PC may boot into WinPE but within a few minutes(by proparing Network Connection), it automatically reboots and does not perform the Task Sequence advertised to the PC, Examining the SMSTS.log obtained from X:\Windows\Temp when the Command Support option is enabled, I see the following error message: Failed to download pxe variable file. Code(0x00000001) PxeGetPxeData failed with 0x80004005 I have the "Intel Network card 82579LM" I get while booting an valid IP-Address from DHCP and it connect to my sccm Server and while "proparing Network Connection", it reboot the PC. Regards P.S: I see in All Systems called x64 Unknown Computer and x86 Unknown Computer, but I see my imported computer named "Windows8build" too!

My step for that are: 1) in the bios I put the boot option on "Network LAN" 2) booting the notebook , I see this dos message With MAC ADDR 8C:73:6E:08:76:57 GUID ####################. But I see while the booting notebook a other GUID number as in sccm2012. I am goging to "Asset and Compliance"-->Devices-->choose my notebook---properties--General, here I see a different GUID number. Is it the the problem?
