  1. Not completely sure what actually did the trick. We checked all the virtual-directories and confirmed both internal and external was set correctly. The auth was also changed to NTLM for OutlookAnywhere (Get-OutlookAnywhere); and we restarted IIS. We still have a bug where it seems to reset the internal URL every now and then, but an IIS reset will fix it. It is still not known why.
  2. Battling Exh2k10 to Exch2k16 migration

  3. Have you checked using nslookup defining each server as a test? Look up new domains so they wont get cached. What are the response times and answers?
  4. Hello everyone! I've setup a co-exist environment with Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2016. At the moment mail-flow seems to work with no problems what so ever, and I have migrated two test-users from 2010 to 2016. SMTP traffic and HTTPS is proxied from the new Exchange 2016 installation - and works fine for the 2010 users behind. My problem is that when the users are migrated, outlook 2016 is having issues connecting to the new server. When I open outlook, it still uses RPC/HTTP towards the old server. If I delete the old profile, and re-create it using autodiscover, it works fine. I then see MAPI traffic and it hits the new server as expected. This would cause a problem if I manually have to re-create profiles for all the users in our company.. Does anyone have any pointers?
  5. Yeah - it looks a bit easier after SP3 was released. The post was made just before I believe!
  6. Just what I was looking for! Thank-you for the great alternatives! Any othe creative solutions out there?
  7. I was wondering if it's possible to use SCCM 2012 in a multidomain environment? We have several domains each in their own forests but with the possibility of network connectivity. Would it be sufficient to set serveral Active-Directory Forests, with their own set of credentials + their own Boundaries and Boundary Groups? How is this done best-practice-wise? The idea is to use SCCM2012 as a tool for keeping servers up to date via WSUS. Would that be doable? Are there issues we could run in to by using this? What would one have to do in the domain beeing added? (Which doesn't contain the sccm2012 server(s)) Edit: What requirements are there when it comes to trusts when doing this? In my lab I'm now running a one-way trust, allowing the SCCM2012 server full access to the "System" container in forest number 2. Would this be correct?
  8. Have you read any of the guides already available on this site? They describe in detail how to deploy packages. When it comes to connecting to the site - that is pretty important
  9. Hi! I'm trying to figure out alternatives for domain-users to change/reset their password themselves. I know there are tools that run as a webservice, I know OWA can be used - but are there anything else, or are those the options? Due to cost, it's hard to justify spending that much money on a solution - but if anyone can reccomend anything, or got other solutions it would be great! Does any of the System Center 2012 parts allow for such a thing?
  10. Hi, How supported is Exchange 2010 on Server 2012? Have anyone tried this combination - and taken a few notes on the tricky parts? Is the install and configure straight forward?
  11. I've followed his guides and they definitly make it as simple as it can be! Good luck on your project!
  12. I've got to second this. Sounds like one (or more?) packages isn't all good after-all, and need a runthrough standalone first. It's quite a bit of work to test packages individually, but the total of it is well worth it Confirming each package saves you alot of time in the end!
  13. I'm looking at the exact same problem as you! If there's anyone out there - with any pointers on what to check, assistance is more than welcome
  14. Hi there! So this is the case: I have an "old" SCCM2007+FEP server. This server is taking its last breaths and I wish to migrate it over to a new virtual host. How/What is the best practice on how to do this? Is there any way to just install the clean server from scratch - then migrate all settings over? Any pointers on this subject is more than welcome!
  15. Finishing up decomission of old 2003 Exchange. Finally on 2010 only!

  16. Figured out that this was due to a misconfiguration in the SIP gateway. Now I'm dealing with: The Mediation Server service has received a call that does not support comfort noise from the Gateway peer, 1.1.1.1 (SIP gateway IP) Cause: The Gateway peer does not support comfort noise. Resolution: Please ensure the comfort noise option on the Gateway has been enabled. And this: Unexpected exception occurred in the Inbound Routing Application. Exception: System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory.ActiveDirectoryServerDownException: The RPC server is unavailable. Name: "domaincontroller.mydomain.local" at System.DirectoryServices.ActiveDirectory.Forest.GetTrustsHelper(String targetForestName) at Microsoft.Rtc.Internal.ExumDialPlanData.GetTrustedForests() at Microsoft.Rtc.Internal.ExumDialPlanData.RefreshDomainDictionary()
  17. Hi, I'm trying to set up Lync 2010 in a small lab. I have a single server handling all the lync stuff, one domain controller, a SIP gateway and one client. This far, I've been able to connect from the client to the Lync service. When I setup a test call, through the SIP gateway - the client says "Operation was unsuccessful". The calling service did not respond. Waint and then try again. If the problem continues, contact your support team with this information. I have no idea where to start looking for the error. Is this a typical Lync config error? Or could the problem be my SIP gateway not accepting the traffic from Lync? Any pointers would be much appreciated!
  18. I have two kind of files named edb. priv1.edb (90gb) and priv1.stm (40gb) = 130gb and pub1.edb (301mb) + pub1.stm (151mb) = 452mb In the EMC -> Tools -> Public Folder Management Console (On the 2010 Exchange server while connected to 2010exchange.mydomain.local) -> I can see both the normal public folders listed under "Default Public Folders" and I can see folders under the "System Public Folders". When I click the folders, they still list "0 objects" on the top right hand side of the window. Thanks for the links! I'll give it a read and a whirl
  19. How do I check the total size of the public folder databases on 2003? I've waited 3-4 days now, so it should be replicated - but I still can't see any content in the 2010 public folder management console tool. Is that a bad thing? If I run the "GewtPublicFolderStatistics" command, with the -Server flag specified to be the 2010 server, I can see that it contains the hierarchy and some of the elements contain data. This is kind of wierd, since I can't see it anywhere! How does one move the hierarchy in the best possible way?
  20. Ok, so I've run the .\AddReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 -TopPublicFolder "\" -ServerToAdd "exchange2010" part, and I can see from the "Get-PublicFolderStatistics" that there's something going on. Still it looks like all content is on the 2003 server? When can I be 100% sure it's safe to run the: .\MoveAllReplicas.ps1 -Server "Exchange2003" -NewServer "Exchange2010" with out loosing any data? And yes, that would be the explanation why people can't use F/B at the moment. When running Get-ClientAccessServer | fl *uri* it reports: AutoDiscoverServiceInternalUri : https://2010server.company.local/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml If I try to access that URL I get prompted for credentials. After entering administrative ones I get XML printed like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> -<Autodiscover xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/autodiscover/responseschema/2006"> -<Response> -<Error Id="922611751" Time="08:59:45.8896372"> <ErrorCode>600</ErrorCode> <Message>Invalid Request</Message> <DebugData/> </Error> </Response> </Autodiscover> The servername is in the SAN-Certificate we use.
  21. What's also funny, is that in OWA - I can see who's free / busy, but not create appointments. I get the "You don't have permission~" message.
  22. It also seems like the Out of Office part is non-functional from Outlook connected via LAN after I did the above. Still seems to work from OWA.
  23. I did some work trying to get the schedule+free busy folders from 2003 to 2010 yesterday. For some reason I couldn't open the Public folder management tool on 2010 from the administrator account without deleting it's mailbox (which was listed as legacy box but didn't exist on the 2003 server). I also logged on the 2003 server and added the 2010 public folders database as a replica for these folders. In my 2010 public folder management console view, I can now see the hierarchy of the folders listed under "system public folders". If I double click the "SCHEDULE+FREE BUSY" folder, I get a message that it's "Not avalible on this server." From what I can tell, this could also give me the caldendar / free-busy problems we've been experiencing?
  24. Hi Andersson! Didn't see your reply untill now for some reason.. Anyhow here's the reply: 1. Autodiscover and EWS are working brilliant. Edit:(Atleast for OWA-access and administrative tasks). 2. No, none of the folders are replicated - still wondering how to do this in the best possible way. Hints / tips are welcome! 3. I've included 3 names in the SAN-cert: mail.company.com, servername.company.local, autodiscover.company.local 4. We run on Outlook 2007, with some still on 2003 (on an upgrade roll here, so all 2007 pretty soon). I did enable some logging, and end up with some files ending with *-fb.log Here's the output: 2011/06/20 10:59:56.265: Getting ASURL 2011/06/20 10:59:56.278: URL returned from cached autodiscover: https://server.company.local/ews/exchange.asmx 2011/06/20 10:59:56.278: Request to URL: https://server.company.local/ews/exchange.asmx 2011/06/20 10:59:56.278: Request action: http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/messages/GetUserAvailability 2011/06/20 10:59:56.278: Request XML: <?xml version="1.0"?> <q:Envelope xmlns:q="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><q:Header><wsa:MessageID xmlns:wsa="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing/">urn:uuid:D437C30D-ABFC-44C4-B0B7-D0DBA24A262C</wsa:MessageID></q:Header><q:Body xmlns:wsa="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing/"><ex12m:GetUserAvailabilityRequest xmlns:ex12m="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/messages" xmlns:ex12t="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/types"><ex12t:TimeZone><ex12t:Bias>-60</ex12t:Bias><ex12t:StandardTime><ex12t:Bias>0</ex12t:Bias><ex12t:Time>03:00:00</ex12t:Time><ex12t:DayOrder>5</ex12t:DayOrder><ex12t:Month>10</ex12t:Month><ex12t:DayOfWeek>Sunday</ex12t:DayOfWeek></ex12t:StandardTime><ex12t:DaylightTime><ex12t:Bias>-60</ex12t:Bias><ex12t:Time>02:00:00</ex12t:Time><ex12t:DayOrder>5</ex12t:DayOrder><ex12t:Month>3</ex12t:Month><ex12t:DayOfWeek>Sunday</ex12t:DayOfWeek></ex12t:DaylightTime></ex12t:TimeZone><ex12m:MailboxDataArray><ex12t:MailboxData><ex12t:Email><ex12t:Address>Bjorn.Hongseth@broadnet.no</ex12t:Address><ex12t:RoutingType>SMTP</ex12t:RoutingType></ex12t:Email><ex12t:AttendeeType>Required</ex12t:AttendeeType></ex12t:MailboxData></ex12m:MailboxDataArray><ex12t:FreeBusyViewOptions><ex12t:TimeWindow><ex12t:StartTime>2011-06-10T22:00:00</ex12t:StartTime><ex12t:EndTime>2011-07-10T22:00:00</ex12t:EndTime></ex12t:TimeWindow><ex12t:MergedFreeBusyIntervalInMinutes>30</ex12t:MergedFreeBusyIntervalInMinutes><ex12t:RequestedView>Detailed</ex12t:RequestedView></ex12t:FreeBusyViewOptions></ex12m:GetUserAvailabilityRequest></q:Body></q:Envelope> 2011/06/20 10:59:56.278: Sending request 2011/06/20 10:59:58.600: Request sent 2011/06/20 10:59:58.600: Response error code: 80072F0C 2011/06/20 10:59:58.600: HTTP status code: 0 2011/06/20 10:59:58.600: ------------------------------- 2011/06/20 10:59:58.600: There is an error in request/response. 2011/06/20 10:59:58.600: XML response: 2011/06/20 10:59:58.600: ------------------------------- 2011/06/20 10:59:58.600: Getting ASURL 2011/06/20 10:59:58.695: Failed to get ASURL.
